http://www.megaupload.com/?d=IDBEOHVF http://www.megaupload.com/?d=V9T1JBUK The "epic" character sheet is only different in that it has twice as much space for feats and abilities. A buddy of mine made these a few years ago and lost the file. I recreated it and uploaded it this week. Y'all are free to have it. They're niiiiice.
I just hafta mention. NOTHING is more epic than starting at level 1. The PCs in my group started at level 1, and now they are up to level 5-6. They earned every little inch.
I never got into 3.0 (only played it a few times) and never played 3.5 except in video game forum. I grew up playing 1st and 2nd edition and found 2nd ed to feel pretty much like 1st ed just with cleaned up rules while 3rd and 4th editions just don't feel like AD&D to me. Hell, they don't even call it AD&D any more.
I had read the 3.0 books, and they just didn't seem right to me either. Then I started playing 3.5 and everything made much more sense than the books had me believing. Some aspects were still better in 2nd Ed, but overall it's not as bad as I thought when I had only read the books and hadn't actually used the info.
Meh, character creators take all the fun out of making a character. I tried it once and it just got too complicated. Gimme a stack of books and some paper and I'm good to go.
