A Chart to Help Those on the Fence About Punching Nazis

Either the First Amendment protects you when you make an imminent threat of violence, or it doesn't. If it doesn't, then the disagreement is in no way over the First Amendment, and you know this, of course. The disagreement is about whether a person flying a swastika, grabbing a weapon, and marching through the street with several others is making an imminent threat of violence or not.

Actually I'm on record saying I'd support anyone punching a nazi. So, even if by proxy, I'm guilty of this stance.

The real question is, is display of ethnic/race related hate paraphernalia and associated speech protected speech? The test given by the supreme court in 1969 and referenced earlier in this thread is "inciting imminent lawless action and is likely to incite or produce such action."

While I wouldn't punch a nazi myself (I would stay far away from them) I do not agree with their right to hold public displays of hate. They should not have been granted permits and they should have been arrested had they attempted to hold a rally.

The proof is Charlottesville and the death and injuries that resulted.

A problem is the current potus having given these people a pass. More than that, having ridden them to win the election.

What you see in that video is a bunch of Nazi shitheads protesting and than counter protesters getting in their face which leads to fights breaking out.

This is what I said:

"Show me a single video where any of those Nazi fuckheads were marching down the street chanting that they were going to kill people who were watching them walk by. Show me a video where any of those Nazi fuckheads pointed a gun at anyone. Show me a video where those Nazi fuckheads pointed any type of stick/bat at anyone who was just minding their business."

Where the counter protesters minding their own business? No they weren't. They where in the face of the Nazi shitheads doing just as much provoking as the Nazi shitheads standing next to them.

All that video shows me is that the police failed to do their job and keep the two groups separate from each other.

The day comes when Nazis are marching down anyone's street and it ain't "our business" is a cold fucking day in Hell, and fuck you for suggesting it.

Someone up above posted a article on how a Nazi group was recently dealt with in Germany by the townspeople of the area where the protest was. It was a brilliant strategy.

I wish we would see a whole neighborhood turn out here America and do what they did in Germany to the Nazi protesters. Or turn their backs on them in the streets. Or let them march through empty dead super quiet streets. Imagine a neighborhood where every window is closed, the streets are empty, all businesses are closed and "boarded" up.

Being violent may feel good but it actually does nothing to fix the situation.

Alan Dershowitz is a liberal, Harvard Professor, and generally an honest straight shooter who is fact based and willing to take shots at both sides when they are wrong. Rhis is how stupid it has gotten. The ACLU, which has always been a fine organization which stands up for civil liberties for all, get called "Nazis" because there twitter feed shows a white baby holding an American flag.

Yes, some groups are upset vecause the ACLU demands the constitution be upheld for all groups, including objectionable groups which the ACLU does not agree with, but the law must be neutral and the ACLU supports that. Just like in the 1930's the violence of the far left is going to alienate the people and spark a counter movement which will play right into the hands of the far right. These people do not know their history and so they are repeating it.

The violence on display is awful and counterproductive. Luckily this seemed to be isolated incidents and many anti-Trump protestors quoted in that article were condemning the violence and Antifa.

One of the videos struck me as odd--a Trump supporter pepper sprayed a crowd of anti-Trump protesters and was subsequently attacked. Not that I support the violence in response to his initial attack, but you gotta be really fucking stupid to pepper spray a crowd of people that outnumbers you so substantially. (Well, he is a Trump supporter so he probably isn't too bright to begin with)

They were not "isolated incidences". The whole fucking thing was a cluster fuck of epic proportions from start to finish thus why Berkley had riot police out firing tear gas. Violence was the main event for these "anarcho-communist" terrorists.

Punching Nazis is a great thing, quite possibly the greatest of all things.
In fact, I would argue that living a life, making money, raising children, none of it means anything if you haven't punched a Nazi.
All existence itself falls apart without Nazi punching.
