The question FF should be asking is how many of the jobs are precarious, low-paid or casual work.

A legitimate question, but if he wants to back up his "Biden is bad for the economy" narrative, he should be prepared to demonstrate that this percentage is higher than it has been in every other set of unemployment numbers in recent years.

But this is the guy who apparently thinks that one of the reasons undocumented immigrants like to work under-the-table jobs is that Nixon took us off the gold standard in 1971, so I don't have high hopes.

Inflation isn't all Old Yeller's fault, it's government spending as a whole. I know Biden's old, but he wasn't around when Washington was president.

That's because the same people who pound the table screaming about the hazard posed by illegal immigrants are eager to use them because they provide cheap labor and don't demand things like safe working conditions. Great example is Idaho where farmers and contractors are opposed to requiring the use of the E-Verify system because it would cost them more money. So it's not the illegals driving down wages, it's the people who hire them.

I totally agree, E-Verify should be mandatory and they should get fined for not using it.

I think the idea was that he was yelling in the State of the Union and thus dispelling the "Sleepy Joe"/senile forgetful man stereotype that they are pushing. So he's Old and he's a yeller, so...Old Yeller.

The cognitive dissonance that allows people on the right to simultaneously believe that Biden is an incompetent dithering boob who has somehow masterminded numerous crimes so much that despite years of investigations there is no evidence for and a raging socialist despite like four decades of service that reveal him to be a dyed-in-the-wool centrist while simultaneously believing that Trump with his gold-plated toilets, history of bankruptcies for his companies, findings of sexual abuse and fraud, ongoing criminal cases where there's really not much in the way of dispute over the facts is simultaneously the victim of multiple conspiracies and yet the only way to unravel the mess that is Washington....well, it should be the subject of multiple scientific studies.

The media plays into this narrative on a daily basis. Just saw an article in my hometown paper about how Biden is old and can’t connect with young voters. Has this same paper published anything remotely touching on Trump’s age and mental decline in the last year or so? Of course not.

What if, and hear me out here, things are actually pretty good for the majority of Americans but some people are REALLY pissed off about having to pay their gardener, house cleaner, pool boy, ironer, limo driver etc a decent wage or *gasp* actually temporarily go without as ‘no one wants to work anymore’ with near full employment and are throwing their considerable economic, political, social and cultural capital into convincing people the economy sucks?

Is that accurate, that real wages are basically flat vs 2019, or did the chart maker not multiply by 100 before labeling the data as a percent change?

Or maybe an improvement from catastrophic to terrible doesn't quite do it for a lot of people.
