That's 'cause people in Canada want to get out of Canada. We're fine where we are.

It's nice to have a picture to go with the Greggy Tea posts! Looks like a fun bunch.

Passport pictures - I actually take them for employees at work in out little photo studio. People wear all kinds of crap, haven't heard about one being rejected based on clothing yet.

Which is why I never understand why you, and Dan, just post pictures in the picture threads that are the same thing over and over. I know for a fact that Dan does more interesting things going on than he normally posts on here, and I suspect you do as well. I'd love to see some pics of you at work, at a restaurant, having a beer, having a day out. (and yes, I nonetheless like you and Dan's photograpic efforts) :)

I've often been thinking of taking up photography when I have the money to spare. Have done for years. But I've always felt that I'd like to be varied in my pursuits.

Yes! We are desperately looking to escape our higher quality of life, vastly lower crime rates, longer lifespans, better education, etc., etc., etc.

There's plenty to do in Canada, everything from hockey to seal clubbing.

In terms of best food per square mile I would put NYC against London any day. Just compare the number and density of Michelin star restaurants and you see NYC comes out on top.

On a side note, officially, the best French restaurant in the world is in California. The second best is in NYC. Poor Paris cannot even compete in their own cuisine.

My TV doesn't require a passport, plus, looks like Texas is where the action is in the American League this year. I'm paying more attention to the senior circuit -- go Dodgers!

Here's me working on some announcement or other with my friendly VP of HR. I may have been having trouble figuring out exactly what she wanted.

It's the National Lottery of deodorants. The ads have us convinced we'll be smothered in lady flaps the instant we spray it on, but deep down we know the odds are 14 million to 1.

Unlike the lottery though, we can play several times a day. And no Dale Winton.

I was going to snark that Lynx sounds like the British equivalent of Axe (extremely cheap body spray that's marketed like it's an irresistible Supermodel Magnet, but actually makes you smell like a 14-year-old boy going to his first school dance).

Then I googled it and discovered that it is, in fact, the exact same thing with a different label.

I wonder why they decided that "Lynx" wouldn't sell in the U.S. ...

According to Wiki it's the otherway around. Most of the world goes by Axe, but due to trademark issues in the UK and Ireland it's Lynx.

By the way, I have nothing but favorable views of the British, based on what I know of their history and culture. I've known a number of British citizens in the past and always had pleasant interactions with them. My wife and I used to live in an apartment under that of a young British woman who when she moved back to England invited us to visit her sometime.

Sadly, she died of breast cancer a few years ago.

Do you drink coffee? Or eat chocolate? Unless you're buy specifically labeled "Fair Trade" coffee or chocolate or a host of other things, you're supporting slavery today. In fact ... I have a link. Let me find it and start a new thread - so as not to derail this one.
