My daughter has been 'babysitting' as the babysitter since she was about 12-13. Why does a 14 year old boy need a babysitter?

We can't excuse her, period. A 20-year-old is an adult, and a 14-year-old is probably an eighth-grader. (And developmentally, a 14-year-old boy is roughly equivalent to a 12-year-old girl.)

She should be given a medal. I see nothing wrong with this whatsoever. Boys are different, and this girl is only 20. There is no crime here.

I'd also question why a 14-year-old needs a babysitter. Unless he has some sort of developmental problem (in which case her behavior is even more reprehensible), he's old enough to be on his own.

What is that guideline y'all toss around? Don't stick it in "crazy"... The kid here's not old enough to make the determination that this girl (and that's what she obviously is) is a loon. g's right on this one. There's more to this story but there's nothing at all here that can make this story good.

I have done some research on the internet, and this is what I found.

Including the 14 year-old, there are six children living in this residence.

This is not a case of a 20 year-old babysitting a 14 year-old.

This is a case of a 20-year old, and a 14 year-old, taking care of five younger children.

The 14 year-old boy is six feet tall, and plays football at his school.
Loni Bouchard is five foot two.

The mother, in this case, is a single mom, on welfare,
with a history of psychological problems.

According to those who know her, she divides her time between
patronizing local establishments, and sleeping around.

The mother has filed charges because her son, and his girlfriend,
have taken over her role, as the responsible adults in this household.

I followed you fully, until this point - where did you find this out? I had a relative who was basically insane due to a brain tumor for many years, right on her brain stem. During this time, her husband left her and her daughter basically took over the household until the rest of the family was able to intervene. To this day, that daughter is a leader for that portion of the family, and has done tremendously well for herself.

That said, even with her taking over, the mother was never angry about it. I have trouble seeing a mother so absent in thought from her family getting pissed when someone else makes things better.

When you say 'because her son and his girlfriend', are you talking about the babysitter or someone else completely that hasn't been mentioned yet? Throw in a link please.
