If so, I need your expert assistance. Once you click on the word "Tools" on the very top bar, it takes you to "Internet Options" . From that point there is a tab at the bottom that is for clearing history. If this tab is blocked out, how do you unblock it. I used to know, but I've somehow forgotten. Anyone know
1) From your browser, copy this text: and paste it into your browser. 2) Click the big green button. That should solve all your IE problems.
Christ. I'm so glad we've gone from "INSTALL LINUX = PROBLEM SOLVED" to "INSTALL FIREFOX = PROBLEM SOLVED." The Internet knows no bounds to its maturity. Anyway, could it be that you have no history items? If, when just on a web page and not in the Internet Options, when you press Ctrl-H, are there actually history items in there? If not, then chances are good that you're not actually storing a history. If you want to clear the cache, though, that's the Delete Temporary Files button somewhere in the middle of that panel, I believe. It's been a while since I've looked at it.
That solution has been suggested to me by so many people, thats Ive decided to accept it. Thanks you one and all
I could be wrong on the history end of it but it sounds like it may be set to dump the temp folder when you close the window, that is an option in IE. Under advanced look down the list and if it is your preference, then uncheck the box and it will save the stuff. I think.
Nah.... the lease on our old computers has expired and they decided to "upgrade" to newer ones that has its History Delete button blocked. We DO have the ability to use mozilla and save it as out primary browser though!
