I am seriously considering buying one of these. At work, my company is really starting to get picky about the time we spend on the internet and are monitoring almost every site we go to. They DO however allow us to bring in out Laptops to work with whenever there is free or idle time. I was told that with this device I would be able to connetct to the web no matter where I am, as long as I am in the range of Verison wireless service towers.

Does anyone here oen this device? If so, tell me what you think of it!

How is your Internet access? Can you log on anywhere, or do you have to be close to a WiFi network?

I have a tmobile air card.

What would be the point of an air card if you have to use wifi?

I dont really use my laptop that often and am still sort of new at this. The laptop I have already has a WiFi card installed. I was informed that I would have to deactivate it in order to use the USB720. I just want to make sure that if I fork over the $60 bucks thay want for it that I'll be able to connect to the web no matter what location I'm in.

I can log on anywhere I have a cell signal. Which at this point seems to be pretty much anywhere.

They have limited downloads, so you can forget bit torrent. I have the usb 720, and I haven't had any problems.

Wel, I got up the confidence to buy one anyway. So far it seems to be really cool. I won't know for sure how well it is until I get the first bill.

Will keep you all posted :)

This just hit me: You're gonna have a hard time switching back and forth between your intranet and the web. :P

I was downloading my weekly fixes of Battlestar Galactica and eureka from iTunes., Verizon invalidated my account for "excessive" downloading, and demanded I pay the balance of the contract up front.

They have unlimited plans for $60 a month and you can test the thing out for 30 days to see if you like it. So it's a no risk situation. Give it a shot.

I got it, and so far this thing Rocks

I was only warned about video streaming and how it can burn up the 5G monthly allowance sorta quick, so I gotta watch it when surfing youtube. Other than that.. It's all good :)
