I have a feeling that this crowd here isn't too much into the sports games, but if any are, how does this game stack up to Madden? I have hated the Madden games for the last two years. Last one I had any fun with was Madden 2005. I hope that EA loses it's exclusive deal with the NFL before long. I want a quality NFL based football game!!!
I loved the old old madden games on the megadrive... ahhhh them where the days, when gameplay was more important than gfx

Ok, the reviews don't give me a warm fuzzy at all, so I am going to pass on this game entirely. Not even gonna rent it. Oh well, maybe next year!
SEGA 2k sports series was way better than Madden IMHO! The last football title I've purchased was NFL 2K1 on Sega Dreamcast. First console football title with online play!
I'm not holding my breath. EA has no incentive to improve Madden over the pus-fest that was Madden 07 since they have no competition.
Yeap... buying the exclusive rights to NFL teams basically just lets them update the rosters and release the same game year after year.
Which pisses me off. I wish they'd have never done that and I wish there was a way to make it change. Stupid NFL and stupid EA, all about the money, not about the gamers. NCAA usually does improve and lets hope Madden takes cues from it.
I was reading today that NCAA Football 08 runs worse on the PS3 than on the 360, so if you have both systems, pick it up for the 360. Not sure why most games run worse on the PS3 than the 360.. /shrug.
