I just want to know if he wins. If this were a real boxing match, I would love to see an oldster demolish a shit talking younger man. I'm talking laying down a humiliating empty your bowels, look like you've been hit by a truck type ass-whipping.
One of my buddies brought the entire Rocky collection to Iraq. I love the first one, but that's about it.
If 50 is the new 30, will we ever see elderly boxers? Lots of older guys still kick major ass. Just like weight classes, we could have age classes. With our huge baby-boomer population, this could be a real money-maker!
I saw it. I don't know... sentimental trash. It's so bad choreography it's real embarrassing to watch Stallone stumble around the ring. a.
So WHO WINS? obviously not the audience, but put it in spoilers please. I'm on pins and needles here!
Hooked on phonics, or what? Just kidding....I used to know, but have bad memory if I don't do things often. I think it's: [ and then type Spoiler]your message[/Spoiler then type ]
I read your post wrong! WTF is I only follow MMA, which is either tap-out, choke-out, knock-out, doctors stoppage or judges decision.
Wow, that was ... very good. If that isn't the best since the first one. A truly outstanding end to a great franchise (and let's forget the dreadful V here like the movie itself does). 9 out of 10. Go watch it. Btw: This was actually the first time I saw one in the English original. Guess I'll have to buy the others now as the dubbing really takes away from the character to an extent I wouldn't have believed possible.
Rumor: Rocky Balboa was not named Rocky VI simply because Sly Stallone did not want to acknowledge the existence of Rocky V. Any truth to that, do you think?
Also, Stallone has said you could watch 1 & 6 back to back, without having to have seen the middle ones, and they'd work as one long movie with a flashforward to 20 years later. Has anyone else read his 200 questions session at AICN?
^^^ Yeah but surely it would make more sense to at least watch II and III before watching Rocky Balboa, no? It would at least explain why he was the 2 time World Champion.
He mentioned there's a montage of the others minus Rocky 5 at the begining, so I guess that fills you in enough if you're uninitiated.
^ I do, yes. Don't know for sure but RB doesn't have a single frame of it in all the flashbacks. There's no mentioning of the events. And that's a good thing. If you leave it out, the remaining four films make a perfect series that's worthy of its fame.
I encourage everyone to go to Ain't It cool News, and read that 200 questions. It's a long read, but really cool. Stallone's really a smart funny guy with a realistic outlook on his career. It's in 20 chapters, and it'd be murder to assemble the links, so just click "cool news", there, and scroll back through the archives.
I mean, I know Rocky is an American icon and all that... but as a guy who has actually boxed himself, and watched a great deal of fights... Jesus Christ what is up with this oversized bag of meat? a.
