Also, what about Australians, Kiwis, Brits or the Irish? If you're one of the above, how do you feel about Americans and the other nationalities?
Is this some kind of failed attempt to troll Dayton for his "overseas" comments, or do you really not understand what foreigner means?
I don't consider Americans foreigners. They are too similar to us to have any really noticeable differences. Neighbors they are.
I think of them simply as funny-talking Yankees. But we still need a wall to box those motherfuckers in.
Technically, if you've got a wall to the south and a wall to the north, Americans would be the ones boxed in.
There's a poster at work: "This just in - Canada and Mexico are foreign countries!" However, our security department issued a bulletin once that, due to poor grammar, implied that Canada was part of the US and Alaska & Hawaii were not.
Canada is like the cousin who lives the next block over who's nice but you can tell there's something off about him, and Mexico is those people across the railroad tracks that keep wandering up into your neighborhood.
"Are Canadians Foreigners?" As anyone who's been playing Fallout 3 knows, we annexed Canada, so the answer is no.
They made a good sci-fi series Odyssey 5, but canceled after 20 episodes without much resolution to the open storylines. Fuckin' Canucks.
Well, since you asked in a far more polite form than Bailey... The whole concept of foreigner is one who is foreign, that is to say, belongs to the group outside of your own. I'm interested to see the highest social group they claim affiliation to, or at least, extend to other people. Why? I'm a bored social scientist.
Naaa 'foriegn' is 'from another country'. It doesnt matter how closely that particular society resembles yours
Canadians are just...Canucks from Canuckistan. As for all the others, yeah they qualify as furriners. Aussies are the best of the lot, by far. Of course, I'm biased that way.
Scots weren't on the list. You'd be surprised how many Aussies are of Scottish decent, BTW. Guess where Old Blighty was shipping all those red-headed folks in the kilts that they didn't like? I went to gradeschool with McDermotts, MacGregors, MacLeods, Gordons, Frasiers, you name it. And my Dad married a Bathgate on his second go-round. :bigstall:
Scots were included under the catch-all, though I guess you could enumerate your feelings on them if so motivated. Expanding this question, how do you Germans feel about Austrians and vice-versa?
