When did you come by the belief that the scriptures were true?

I don't know. The whole thing stinks of a Walmart BoGo. I wouldn't be surprised if they come up with the death cocktail on a rollback. Four double executions and the state of Arkansas is calling it that.

Weren't you the one whining up thread about Arkansas being supposedly unable to execute any of those condemned killers?

You were in error. No they couldn't execute all eight. But they wiped out four.

    It's a good start.

ah here it is in post #76

    Nope Arkansas fails. Again.

    http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-arkansas-executions-drug-companies-20170414-story.html

Arkansas is such a shitty fly over state. Real fly over states would have at least figured out how to execute six people in 11 days.

if this clown was innocent of his first murder (the cheerleader) he sure wasn't innocent of the second one what with breaking out of prison and murdering yet again. But wait....I thought locking someone up for life is the way to go because there's no way they can murder yet again, right?

God must be pretty evil then. I men Civilization goes back at least 20,000 years but God doesn't even tell people how to avoid eternal damnation in hell fire until 2000 years ago? Talk about fucked up.

Also, you are ignorant, as Catholic Christians have a doctrine about pergitory which other Christian groups such as Anglocans also endorse so there are a number of different theological views.

I'm quite familiar with the concept of "purgatory".

And God gave people thousands of years before the coming of Christ the means to avoid eternal damnation. Remember the Jews?

It has been my understanding that the coming of Jesus was ALWAYS God's plan and that all the actions of God in regards to the Jewish people and others was to prepare humanity for his coming.

    :wtf:

You do know that you suffer greatly for at least 30 seconds and up to a minute before you die in space?

    It's not instant death.

If it was humane we could setup a similar system here on Earth. Two adjoining rooms. One, the far larger of the two rooms, in vacuum and one, the smaller airlock type, with atmosphere. Just open the door between the two and it would be like being spaced.

You're completely correct -- it's not instant, and it's grizzly... unlike a bear mauling :ramen:
However, you black out very quickly, which somewhat begs the question of the suffering aspect. No doubt any suffering would be exacerbated by the sudden panic from the loss of air before blackout occurs.
Since it's not instantaneous, it does lead to the possibility of cold-shirting from one air lock to another on a neighboring ship.

When I was a teenager, one of my Grandad's cows was sick, and the vet came out and said she had a blood infection and needed to be put down.

The guy got a syringe with this stuff that looked like pepto bismol in it. He told me to pull her head around so he could get a good shot at a vein in her neck, and warned me to jump back as soon as he stuck her. I shit you not, he jabbed her, and before he even got the plunger all the way down, she fell over dead....I mean DRT. There was no last breath...no seeing the light fade in her eyes. It was lights out before she even hit the ground. This was an animal that weighed just shy of a ton. :wtf:

I always think about that when ever I hear about botched executions or debates about how humane this or that drug cocktail is. Why not just use that pink stuff?

His plan from the beginning was to violate a young woman by impregnating her without her consent, then have the child of that rape tortured to death?

    What an asshole.

The real problem is that we've allowed anti-death penalty people to take the 8th Amendment and stretch the cruel and unusual punishment part to the point where even the tiniest bit of pain is "illegal" in their eyes.

But that's not what the 8th Amendment was about. The founding fathers had no problem hanging people or putting them in front of a firing squad. The 8th Amendment says nothing about pain just that the punishment can not be cruel or unusual. Too much pain of course could be considered cruel but the pain from hanging if done right is very short. Same with a firing squad.

We should just give up on lethal injections and go straight to hanging or firing squad.

The vet put our dog down a few months ago. Same thing, within mere seconds after the injection she was down for the count. I was making sure I held her head still so she wouldn't squirm (or maybe to comfort her in her last moments) but all I was doing was holding her now dead head up after about five seconds.

Indeed. People forget or ignore the historical context of the 8th Amendment. This was back when in the British Navy, Sailors (quite a few of which were American colonists serving voluntarily or pressed into service) were routinely severely flogged as punishment.
