A guy I know from another board just started a new board called Club ASVS. Come in and join the fun!!! http://www.clubasvs.net/ it is pretty cool. It just opened 2 days ago. Enjoy! -hummus
Re: Club ASVS Well, good luck to him, although he has way too many fora for so few people. I didn't really expand my forum size until I had about 100 members. I had made the same mistake first time around, then when I rebuilt (server crash), I took that to heart. Starscape had 3 fora until we got over 90+ and then I added on. J.
Re: Club ASVS Your friend needs to make his forums more active to appeal to browsers. Some people do this by hiring Indians or Pakis to post.
Re: Club ASVS You better get someone to pull your head out of your ass soon. I think the fumes have overtaken your sense of, well, any sense you might actually have. J.
Re: Club ASVS What? Blog and forum promoters often hire Indians and Pakis to post on them. THe going rate on a blog is 25 cents for a good, thoughtful post.
Re: Club ASVS That's twice what Lanz pays me! He's taking advantage of me! Of course, he has yet to agree that any of my posts have been either "good" or "thoughtful," so he hasn't paid me anything at all yet, but it's the principle...
Re: Club ASVS Your forgetting he pays people to bump his "business" on google searches. (Source RR) He's in to using cheap child labour and dodgy parts.
Re: Club ASVS A USENET group, alt.startrek.vs.starwars I posted on it regularly between about 7 - 10 years ago. Course right about 7 - 9 years ago as the web got bigger exponentially, and the average intelligence level of its users moved inversely to that, web-boards proliferated massively, and USENET entered about a 80 degree nose down attitude. As its user base shrunk, more and more news servers and the like giving access to USENET pulled out of the game, and the decline became a near-vertical chain reaction. But those who were savvy could still find access readily enough... USENET was one of the mightiest pillars of the net, but now it has dropped pretty deep underground. And having gone underground, it has found a new niche by which to stay alive, as a conduit for large binaries, such as cracked software, pirate copies of films etc. Unfortunately however, this has raised the ire of Big Recording, as a result of which Big Recording is trying to finally drive USENET out of existence.
Re: Club ASVS We just changed over to IPboard software. It's a much more powerful software package. Let me know what you think. If you have problems logging in, click the forgot password button and have it send you a new one. If you still have problems, email me at Tyralak@clubasvs.net
Re: Club ASVS Aquehonga. If you still have problems with your password, I'll reset it and have it send you a new one. It doesn't look like you got back in as of yet.
Re: Club ASVS I should have the IE and PM bugs fixed in a few days, for those of you who are interested.
