    It's no coincidence that they timed this when so many economic downturns are happening. I would guess this group had been ready to attack for some time and someone pulled the trigger... the 16th doesn't have any meaning that I know of, and this being the Killer's special holy holiday makes the attack even more shocking.

    Yes, but the communists were lead more by their ideology than they were by their culture in planning that offensive. Supposedly, the Mohammadens who carried out this attack are lead by Islam.
