"Good", and "evil", are terms for human beings by human beings to describe certain concepts to be able to communicate with each other.

If God acts in a way that we find evil by our standards, it does no good to try to wiggle out by saying "Gods ways are incomprehensible to us", because you can't turn around and have it both ways by saying "God loves us", because "love", is a human word with certain definitions that are contradicted by acts of evil.

A hyper-dimensional being performing acts based on a hyper-dimensional set of morals can't interact with us in a meaningfully moral way, and we're better off without its interference.

Going back to your dog analogy, dogs don't understand why we have them spayed, or give them shots, and that it's for their own good, but they also don't understand why bad owners abuse them.
Does lack of comprehension make the bad owner good?
