John's cat story doesn't surprise me in the least - cats are awesome. I try to mimic cat behavior as much as possible in my diet, attitude, exercise, training, movements, etc. and this has only led to increasing my awesomeness in every way.

No, it was in there. It is understandable if you missed it, however, as that movie was so bad, and the main characters so annoying that it had most people rooting for the Japanese.

Once someone dies as far as I know in no known religion or legal system I've heard of is their surviving spouse morally or legally bound to them in any way at all.

Once your spouse dies, by any standard a man or woman is single again and basically the same as though they were never married.
