Indeed so, something that would have the "progressives" today shouting "racist" at the top of their lungs. Hell, Congressman Luis Guitierrez stormed out of the SOTU last night simply because he became enraged when people in the crowd started chanting: "USA, USA!"
Yeah maybe...but Trump seems to be more interested in keeping the immigrants the hell out. BTW...Roosevelt was a self marketing ass. He and I have family history.
This is a Roosevelt quote. The first is not. And to construe this Roosevelt quote as on par to Trump's policies and rhetoric is to completely misrepresent Roosevelt. And I'll note I don't necessarily agree with TR, but I understand and respect the underlying point behind his quote.
