I scanned it as i was passing thru. Campped in one of your systems..you mean the system that was my only system an hour before? Nice spin there.
Well, while I don't believe this is a coordinated attack by the UFP, SCG is definitely under attack by UFP members. My forces destroyed Nautica's ship earlier today and I have evidence of belligerent actions by Captain Chewie. One of my newer members is also under coordinated attack by these belligerents. I believe it was a strategic mistake by the UFP to accept the criminal refugees Nautica and Captain Chewbacca from the RSE and it jeopardizes the galactic peace. While the SGC has no desire to engage in war with the Federation, we have no choice but to respond to the belligerent actions of Chewie and Nautica. Any assistance from the Federation Founders is most welcome. [Edit: Nautica foolishly destroyed his ship attacking my defenses. Only lack of time in the Real World prevents his annihilation.]
Well then, I guess that's the end for me. It's been fun while it lasted. Just lost my ship trying to retake one of my planets that Doomsday had captured, here's the battle report for everyone to see: Just like Bailey I shall offer a little review of what I had: 137 planets, 2.5bn fighters, 2bn torps, 12.8bn colonists, 29.5bn energy.
Shit, and I got scuffs on my hull just retaking the worlds Chewie attacked last night, and he hadn't beefed up their defences since he did it! Minor scuffs, I'll add, but then she hadn't seen action before so they mar the otherwise pristine paintwork.
I said I'd pay any damages, Matt. Now, what sort of response is happening here? I've been targeting non-allied folks and making my way through the sectors one at a time. Only person I've fought in the last few days is Matt, and I gave his worlds back.
I just wanted to get that last planet in Sector 2083, but for some reason my shields didn't work during either attack. So now I'm built back up, but have exhausted my bank account. *sigh*
Nah, I agreed to call it even as long as you replaced the planet and the colonists - thank you for that - I was remarking more on the damage I took just dealing with the fighters that were left on the planet after you'd already mopped most of them up.
Well, nearer a million on two of those worlds (the third was a newer planet I was trying to use as a fighter/torpedo factory but the prodution rate just isn't high enough). There were only a few thousand left when I retook the world, but bear in mind the planet has beams and shields equivalent to the owner's ship on top of that. I think on reflection I should have topped up on energy between attacks - I retook the first planet without incident and used fewer fighters to do it. On the second run, possibly I didn't quite have enough energy to maintain beams and shields at full strength... Like I said, retaking the planets was a first-run of the combat system for me.
Yeah, first rule of combat is ALWAYS attack with full energy. Its your beams and shields, and beams are your best way to kill fighters.
Hmmm...was wondering why I was the only one kicked out despite both our names showing up on the Court Martial notice. Who'd you hafta blow, Chewie--Elwood or Nick? Well hell, guess I'm not much on the Chain of Command, eh?
They thought I was attacking worlds, but it was someone else. All I did was lay a minefield to blockade a system O'Neill and I occupy, which I removed before anyone hit it when I found out we weren't at war.
The prize has increased. 2,035,664,511,484 credits each on five planets at the time of this writing. Hell, I'll go ahead and throw it out there. Sector 411. Take them if you can.
Bah, I wasn't saying anything in the hope that someone would jump in blind. For 200 billion to just scan the worlds? Bah, I know plenty of worlds which carry more than a trillion credits, and they won't cost anything to just scan.
I hope that you are buying more deflectors, otherwise you are dead. edit: heh, I just watched you go in.
You hit 16268912577 mines! You lost all your mine deflectors. You lost all your shields! Your ship has been destroyed! Luckily you have an escape pod! and thats me out of the game now.
Thanks for clearing most of them out though. Not quite sure what you were thinking Elwood, for anyone to be able to take those planets (after scanning them) they would need a ship so big that the credits on the planets are basically worthless.
I'd sit back and wait for other players to drain the fighter and torpedo defences of the planets, but if Elwood's ATL 35, I'm not even gonna survive his beams... That 30,000 point drop in my score earlier today was me finally having enough disposable income to upgrade to Level 25 torpedo launchers.
