I'm shocked this thread not been create in the weeks following the full trailer release

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MCWJUSulnro&feature=topics

First off, considering there is no Borderlands thread, what features would you like to see/not see in this game? Also, who wishes they could keep sniping with Mordecai or going bezerk with Brick instead of having to get used to all new characters/classes?

    EDIT:

One reason I loved the old game was the humorous commentary. Already got a favorite from the Borderlands 2 trailer.

    More skills.*

*for the payment of bigger bills.

I'm just now playing the first Borderlands... It's been on my shelf for almost a year now. I'm not looking forward to much this fall since Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider was pushed back to 2013, so I can see myself getting really excited for it soon.

Of the 3 people I've let my game to since I got an Xbox, all three plan on preordering Borderlands 2. I don't have high hopes for Infinite since the Bioshock 2 showing.

BioShock 2 was pretty good, IMHO, but nowhere near as good as the first one. With that said, a different team altogether worked on 2 than the original. The team working on Infinite is were the original makers of BioShock and that's why everyone's going apeshit.

but yeah, I'm really enjoying Borderlands so far. Hopefully I'll get some time in tonight to do some exploring.

Honestly it just looks like another lame first person shooter for the kiddies. Not my cup of tea.

Well, I'm having a blast with Borderlands. At this point, Borderlands 2 is a shoe-in. While there is a certain juvenille charm to it, I find a refreshing difference between it and the popular FPS on the market today. It's like a mix between Fallout 3 and, Left 4 Dead, but all awesome! I'd reccommend it.

I could play another borderlands game right now. I really liked the first one, as did a lot of people, and this just looks like a better one.

Will Borderlands 2 Come to The Playstation Vita?

This is exactly the kind of game that I'd like to have access to during my long train rides to work! :soma:

This is a very odd statement from Gearbox, but boy am I glad they made it. I hope the powers that be at Sony take advantage of this and bring Borderlands 2 to the Vita!!

It feels to me like Sony has given up on the Vita already. It hasn't sold much here, and the PSP is still outselling it in Japan. (There's no Monster Hunter yet.) It's a nice thought to be able to switch back and forth, but who is it for? And did that type of player even buy the Vita? Does ANYONE want to play borderlands on the tiny screen? Can you really play that kind of game on the bus/train in 15 minute/half hour trips? The only time I feel like that is something you want is on a larger, amtrak/plane type trip, and that's only if you want to play it on the tiny screen.

My train commute is 1.5-2.0 hours. I have a Vita and it is a fantastic piece of technology. Even though there are about 40 games available for it, very few of them appeal to me and my taste.

I was very concerned after Sony only spoke about 2 Vita game during E3, but I understand that there are several more AAA games in the pipeline for it and third party developers are dedicated to helping the platform succeed. Call of Duty Black Ops Declassified and Assassin's Creed Liberation and hopefully Borderlands 2 will renew my faith in the platform.

Yeah, two hour train rides to get to work don't sound like the norm. Do you have to transfer trains at all?

Like I was saying before, not many people want to play a AAA game on a tiny screen on their vita. That's why Lumines sold so much money.

The screen is bigger and better than the PSP, 3DS, iPhone and other smartphones... and the games are much more engrossing, IMHO. Unit 13, the third person shooter on Vita had 36 10-15 minute missions for its campaign and a co-op mode via wi-fi and 3G. I thinks it worked really well as a mobile game. MLB The Show is doing pretty good too. There is also a mechanism for Playstation to implement an "app" like market on the Vita via the PSN. They really should open the platform up developers. I honestly can't recommend anyone to buy a Vita just yet, but if more AAA games come and a price drop, I think it would do just fine.

No, one straight train ride for me. I could honestly drive it in an hour & ten, but I like sitting back, reading the paper, playing my Vita and after I've gone North of the city, I even catch some light nap time. I actually see a ton of people making the same trip or going even further everyday. I imagine it's a big city thing. The truth is that there are people who live in the city that drive to work and take just as long.

Even though the screen is bigger than previous iterations of portable gaming devices, it's still a portable gaming device, and it's small compared to a tv. I can't imagine playing borderlands on my phone even if it was set up like the vita with the analog sticks and whatnot.

True enough. I just defeated the Crawmerax for the first time in the General Knoxx DLC. If I ran into a big boss like that on the Vita, I might have been a little let down that I didn't experience it for the first time on my Big Screen.

Paid off my pre-order over the weekend. Thinking about taking the day off since my Game Stop is doing a midnight sale for this release.

Anyone else give this a spin yet? I played for an hour or two last night. Pretty smooth, but somethings just a little off. Plenty of redneck marauders, but no slags to hunt yet.

    Can't wait to try some co-op! If anyone's on PS3, I'm hyperhealer3

Yeah, it's good. It's more Borderlands. I keep dying, though. I don't know if it's me, or if my guns are weak. (Probably a mix of both)

The badass credits thing is sweet. Checkpoints along the way are sweet.

I'm playing the Gunzerker. Doesn't seem very interesting. I think I made the boring choice again. I felt like I missed a lot by picking soldier over brick in the first game, so I picked the other tank. I dunno, double guns is cool and all, but...

Got this from Steam last night. Well, actually, Amazon.com was a few bucks cheaper, then I activated the key on Steam. :ramen:

I also chose the Zerker and kind of regretting it. I completed mission 5 and I may start over with Zero or the girl again. Best to try them all out in the beginning methinks.

I get a kick out of telling everyone I'm "going Commando." You should see some of the looks I get. At first I felt that Axton was too much of a pretty boy for me, but I've unlocked some skins that turns him into a bad ass.

I'm at level 11 now and ran into my first Goliath last night. I sneaked up on him, pulled out my sniper rifle and squared up a perfect shot to his head. Let's just say that the encounter didn't go as I had planned
