If it’s true that the vast majority of Canadians don’t support this protest then the media needs to stop pretending they do.

The media needs to be reporting this for what it is, a foreign-funded attack on Canadian infrastructure propped up by some traitorous citizens that wish they could have voted for Donald Trump.

Why don't they issue citations resulting in drivers losing the licenses? They must be violating lots of laws. Threat of livelihood should clear them out.

First, that would take time to do. Second you would need a fascist prroperty seizure state like the US to start impounding vehicles to get them off the road. I would imagine quite a few of these drivers will eventually lose their license and have their vehicles seized or repossessed. However, that would be at least 6 months from now.

Depending on the city, either the cops were on their side or the local towing contractors couldn't move big trucks.

Other than the odd redneck yahoo company employing them, pretty sure most of these yokels have slit their own throats when it comes to career prospects.

    Which makes me happy. :bergman:

Not talking about impounding. That would get ugly. Write citations. When they show up in court they probably will lose their CDLs or whatever they're called in Canada. Make it public so everyone knows.

thought briefly about water cannons. Ok it's a recurring thought. Ice-in the fuckers in front and watch the rest clear out.

From what I understand there is a lot of contract business for truckers out there so probably not.

Still, court dates are often a month or so out. I do not know about Canada. Even then the courts often try to plea out to a charge that would not effect the status of the license. You are talking about something that would be worth hiring a lawyer to defend and going to trial. I am just saying the court is probably going to be much more lenient than you would like. Due to the expensive of a rig, impound and seizure would be much more efficient than license issues.

I hate that the Ottawa police are refusing to move against the truckers and claiming it's "because there's a potential for violence." Imagine if they dealt with every crime that way. :jayzus:

Where's Michael Bay when you need a truck to transform into a hideous, twisted mass of metal that's a parody of something we actually like?

Jesus Christ, there's so many mentally defective TF fans convinced that Optimus Prime would support the convoy. "Freedom is the right of all sentient beings." :dayton:

Newsflash idiots: Optimus Prime was fighting a civil war to "destroy the evil forces of the Decepticons" because their actions threatened to harm innocent people, so clearly his concept of "freedom" wasn't unlimited. He also wore a fucking mask without whining about it constantly, and actively sought out and volunteered to receive an untested treatment to protect himself from a plague. :async:

If anyone was gonna punch a Nazi, it was Optimus. Because Nazis didn't have a good reason. Optimus would forgive if you had a good reason.

I mean fair play to the IDW comics, they redeemed MEGATRON and many forgave him, but still realized (as did he) that he'd have to pay the price at the end of it all (quantum duplicate notwithstanding).
