Shouldn't be too hard to check his Last Visit entry in the members list.

Which says it's been 5 days.

I'm reading it as N/A, bearTM. I assume that means he's invisible and won't show his last visit date.

Thus, I imagine he is visiting right now. :)

Funny thing though, when Ecc. was making dipshit comments about family members, NOBODY said anything to him.. and some here (wont name who) actually ENCOURAGED him to go around saying shit to me about my parents, etc. So hey, as the old motto goes, 'play fire with fire' I dropped my decency and started with the family/parents schtick as well. But when *I* (started to) do it, everyone jumps on ME and starts to say what an asshole I am!

    :mystery:

    So there you have it.[/quote]
Point taken. I wasn't here in the early days of WF.

But I have been here long enough to know that I don't like what I see in regards to that. Perhaps it did start out that way...much like when I'd drum up shit at TBBs against certain mods because they were protecting certain well-known trolls over there in the Enterprise forum. But after a while, my bullshit antics were starting to make me look worse than the person/people I was trying to hit and drummed up much undeserved sympathy for them and whatever my intentions were had been forgotten by wank and drama.

I read it afterwards, but my point still stands. You can't claim to wish someone well one moment then go about laughing about their broken home the next. That's rather two-faced, IMO.

That's a rather garamet-esque position to take. :borg:

Few people on this board are hated for no reason, and even fewer have no hope of turning their popularity around. Look at Dayton--two years ago, he had five red pips without the aid of of Borgs or whoever was in charge of the board at the time. While not popular, he *is* fairly respected. Look at Ted, who learned which things he should keep his mouth shut on (Although being trolled by Face probably helped too ;) ). About the only people I doubt could change their status here are Polarslam, JohnM, and Enterpriser.

It reminds me of an incident in fifth grade where I got mad at a kid--over what, I don't remember anymore--and my teacher called me on it. She said that it probably wasn't all them, but that I shared some of that fault. And she's absolutely right. It's not called for to sock someone in the face for cutting in line (No I never did that! ), and if someone's telling you to knock off a stupid behavior, it's not called for to laugh about their dog dying one drag their families into it. If I'd known Eccentric four years ago, I'd tell him the same thing too (Especially when he'll pull out the claws in a New York minute if you make fun of his well-documented drug use :jayzus: ).

So POTN said he was leaving WF because of a medical condition, then popped up at TBBS under another name?

Yeah. That's why I don't believe anything anyone on any message board says. Except Diacanu being a shut-in. That, oddly, I believe.

POTN is a grown man, he can take care of himself. His reasons for leaving are his own and what he communicated to me is none of anyone else's business.

I know it's incredibly bizarre, but I havn't been here nearly as much the last few months...between some actual real life busy-ness and a nasty flu I had for awhile, so I am not well versed in all the drama here nor do I hardly ever go to TBBS unless it's part of a thread here.

So when I get told by a member they are having medical issues..associated with incidents I've been well aware of for months, my reaction isn't "Liar!!" And frankly, just because he is making some posts there instead of dealing with this bullshit here doesn't mean he lied. Sometimes, you just don't need the extra stress from the kinds of shit we sling at each other on a regular basis when you are facing medical procedures.

Well then maybe if you aren't keeping track of things you shouldn't talk down to others without actually looking at the facts they are presenting first.

Mocking someone about running away from a rep war.....Someone telling me they have medical problems....

Hmmm. I wonder what I am more likely to dismiss out of hand.

If this had something to do with anything remotely important, maybe I would have went on a fact-finding mission to verify all sides of the issue to be absolutely certain of every claim. Rep War shenanigans...not so much. :jayzus:

Face it, your hero ran away because he got about 2500 neg reps in the course of 11 days.

Well, he doesn't know that yet.

He probably only got like 1000 neg reps before he ran away.

But that was enough to make him less secure in his internet masculinity.

Maybe it really is just a coincidence that around the time he started to get hit daily with a massive number neg reps he decided to return to TBBS and completely change his handle. Maybe it really is just a coincidence that around the time the BABA rep restriction was lifted he stopped stealth negging and vanished completely.

Ask POTN. He's the one that thought it mattered so much that he had to leave.

    No.

Comments like that make this whole deal seem a lot bigger than it really is, when, if you really get down to it, it's just BS on the internet and a way to pass the time.

If POTN wants to choose to post at TBBS and ignore the bullshit (Which if I were sick, I'd probably want to do too), why change his entire username to hide if it's going to be temporary? It's like KIRK saying he didn't have time to debate Garamet and going around posting under dual accounts at three different board in two years.

If POTN wanted to hide, he'd been better off creating a new account entirely. with the amount of posting he's made over there (which is not a whole lot), he would've slipped unnoticed easily enough. :jayzus:

As a few others mentioned, other folks have used your good nature for their own agendas in the past because they know you'll come to your friends' defense--and some have shown they didn't deserve it. Eccentric is a good example of that.

I know you don't speak up for someone unless you believe their story, and he very well may be sick. It's not like POTN is making a hundred posts a day over there, but a lot of things don't add up for me to entirely believe that, IMHO.
