So lately, I've been reading about this ghost summoning game which consists of two pencils, a paper and your belief. Draw two lines perpendicular to each other at their centres. Then you get four squares and write yes and no diagonally in those squares. Now put two pencils just like the two lines. It starts with saying "Charlie, Charlie, can we play?" If it's a yes then the pencil moves to yes or no. You can ask bunch of questions as you please. You must stop it by saying Charlie, Charlie, can we stop? And then throwing the pencils away and saying goodbye Charlie.
What a cunt. And I mean that in the British, 'he's just a complete asshole' way, as opposed to the feminist, oooh yeah that's nice way.
sounds a bit like Ouija board games. I'm not sure how the pencils can move other than blowing on them, vibrating the surface under them. Ouija is fascinating: two players rest fingertips on a moveable stylus type device on a board with letters and yes/no etc. Subconsciously the stylus is moved, but it's very convincing that some other force is in action. interestingly the top hit for ouija board googles is the charlie charlie variation. Here's an article describing this fad.
Note that the spirit moving those pencils, no matter where and when you summon him, is John Castle. Every time. Which is why you should never play this game unless to mock it.
Holy shit! I conjured up Charlie! But who needs a glue-sniffing rat -killing ghost? I should have asked the waitress to play, or even Dee. She looks like fun!
When me and my sisters were all at home for years my parents would get us a new board game every Christmas among our other presents. One year we got a Ouja board. Considering that they were only a parlor game prior to WW1 and had no occult connotations it isn't that surprising. I got more enjoyment out of pretending the marker thing was a starship....
IMO i think it's gravity. Ghosts aren't friendly. My friend died in a car accident and i try to summon him often but he's not coming. Maybe he's in peace.
