EU 2 & 3 are way better than Civ 5. I bought Civ 5 on release (I've played every civ game and bought every expansion pack going back to Civ 1) but the game has been a huge disappointment. It take a lot to turn off a die hard fan like me but Civ 5 did it. I mean I even stuck it out with Civ 3 which was the previous dog of the series but Civ 5 beats it to become the worst in the series. I don't intend to buy the expansion until it drops to $5 (which will probably be in 3-4 months) just so I can send a message to Firaxis about how pissed off I am.

That said, I still play Civ 4 and am part of a Civ 4 multiplayer democracy game right now. All the bastards had to do was up date the graphics on Civ 4 and maybe add the hex grid map and they would have had a hit but instead they tried to reinvent the wheel forgetting what made the game fun & great to begin with. Civ 5 is just boring and full of fail.

Tried it. :pirate: Liked it so much I bought Civ V with all the DLC's on Steam. This game has...consumed...me. It's scary how much time you can spend if you don't monitor yourself.

Have you ever played Europa universalis III, Elwood. If you create a paradox forum account you get to use a free cd key through steam.

Been playing the crap out of Civ 5 for the last several months. They just announced another DLC, Brave New World, that is supposed to improve diplomacy and cultural victories and add even more civilizations.

We should try our hand at a Wordforge multiplayer Civ 5 game. :bergman: I've never actually tried the multiplayer function.

I would love to give WF multi-player a try. The game I'm in now has gone for ~820 turns.

I'll play multiplayer, but it might be difficult to get everyone online at the same time.

I want to play right now. Who is up for a game of Civ4?
