Hey, I'm still waiting on one of you geniuses to break the last one...

As usual, there will be SUPERFABULOUSSHINYPRIZES, possibly including a half off coupon for the purchase of the Nieman Marcus cookie recipe and your name entered into the finals for the Nigerian Bank Lottery.

Hints will be dropped at random over the next thirty days. If everyone fails to break the Batboy code, I'll be forced to hand over parallalaxis's user ID to Chewie.

Man, these threads really leave me with mixed emotions. I'm a fairly bright guy, but these threads are way over and above my capabilities. So I'm forced to admit there are people--right here--that are smarter than me. I'm not sure how I feel about that. :marathon:

Nah, it's just that they have a different skill-set than me. Yeah, that's the ticket... ;)

well, send it to me. and I'll tell you what it says. It's got to be something about the ultrasound. And since there's fireworks, I'm assuming it's a boy.

    Who cares?

You got to have a freaking math brain to even have a chance at solving it.

Just give us the damn answer and be done with it.

Well that's true but if the bastard is going to make a game for the board to play he could at least not be an asshole by making it so hard that only a couple people on the board have a shot at attempting to solve it.

    Initial thoughts...

    1. Letters used: CFNOP (only few words "capitalized"), bcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyz (no 'a', seems irregular), 012356789 (no 4, probably not significant)

    2. The lack of capital letters in the second phrase...could just be that he capitalized the title text only.

    3. The "words" seem longer than typical words, so replacement is probably not 1:1.

    4. No repeated "words." As always, one imagines that at least one "word" in the phrases is "Batboy."

    5. Batboy has a penchant for using codes that are breakable with commonplace items. Obvious candidates with numbers and letters: telephones, keyboards, Scrabble tiles?

    6. Batboy also uses codes that require no decoder but require figuring out a rule for organizing words and letters from values in the text itself.

    7. Numbers and letters appear in clusters. Longest run of letters without a number is 8 occuring at the end of "Pwj5w8dybhophv."

    8. Numbers possibly a key to a sorting order? Or counting method on a decoder?

Interesting. I also noted that they were unusually long words. Most sentences have at least one or two 'articles' (i.e. a, an, the).

I also thought 'Batboy' is in there somewhere.

Well, since my brain isn't wired right for the actual codebreaking work, I will submit another idea about content:

In addition to a message about the new addition to the Bat family (Batboy Boy? ), given the timing it could also be a Wordforge birthday message.
