No doubt that, while officials booted her out for this dress, they allowed everyone with plunging necklines and see-through bodices in.

Her date looks like his family tree could use a few more branches.

I have a feeling that a friend of mine will be paying Dyer, TN a business call.

As to the OP, I know that whole deal was a plot to cause trouble. Anybody should know that a dress like that would be a problem. But she went ahead and had it made. The parents knew the deal and still let her go forward. The boyfriend knew and went along with it. And the two dopes missed out on their prom. :jayzus:

So...we can either have another fucking Civil War "discussion," or argue about prom dresses...

Nope. Don't think this one's gonna be a winner.

Nope, they just wanted to get out. It's still a good idea with the current clusterfuck the country is now in.

Because people in modern, enlightened society are raised on the delusion that everyone else should be constrained by their feelings about something.

Because a lunatic fringe group has decided that they're the boss of the rest of us, and we can only display symbols which are subject to their review and approval.

Oh NOES!!!! She wore a flag!!! This is the sign of weakness that the terrorists have been waiting for!!! We're DOOMED!

Really? You'll take issue with a freaking FLAG? REALLY? You're so insecure in your own beliefs and self worth that you can't handle someone doing that?

If the Stars and Bars really does symbolize the kind of hatred that you think it does, then isn't it a much better prospect to let the community shout down such expressions in the market of free thought and ideas rather than have "mommy" come in and expel such ideas?
