Gang of Atlantic City officers brutally beat man, release an attack dog to gnaw on his neck ATLANTIC CITY, NJ — Security cameras captured a disturbing video of a group of Atlantic City police officers assaulting a man, beating him mercilessly with blunt weapons, and finally siccing an attack dog on his neck and head as he lay helplessly face-down in the street. The shocking abuse seems to be done with the approval of the police chief, who watched the video and saw no reason to discipline his officers. I went to Atlantic City about 20 years ago, the place was nothing compared to Vegas. Our hotel room in TRUMPS Hotel had bugs in it. Go there at your own risk.
The icing on the cake was charging him with choking the dog who was gnawing on his neck. WTF? I'm not a doctor, but I think the human neck has a few arteries and a spinal column. Might not want to chew thru those, Fido. Regardless of the verbal exchange - aren't the police trained to deal with hostile/personal attacks with professional indifference and focus on doing their job? Casinos toss people out all day long. Normally that is the end of it, unless the patrons get violent or keep trying to come back in. And TWELVE TIMES getting charged with brutality? Again, I'm not Columbo, but I detect a pattern in his behavior.
My step-brother is a cop, he the biggest asshole I know. I haven't seen him in over a year, and if I never do again, it'll be to soon.
They'd never admit it, but the Casinos pay the police to "rough up" certain people. I have been to my share of casinos, and rule #1 is "Don't start any shit in a casino or near a casino.
Based on my experience and observations, it's all based on the culture of the agency and the community.
Wow. That seriously fucked up. At first I wondered if maybe during the argument the kid said something stupid like I hope you all get shot or something to the cops. But then I read the cops, the ones who attacked him, had already searched him when escorting him out of the casino. They knew he had nothing on him. And the dog at the end? That officer should be arrested for attempted murder. Hell they should all be arrested.
I've had two neighbors who were cops. One was the biggest asshole I've ever met. The other is the nicest guy.
My first thought watching that video was that it took five cops to bring that skinny cracker to his knees, and they still couldn't keep him under control. Pussies. My second thought was why didn't they Taser him? I thought that was the whole point of using Tasers, to quickly subdue out of control fuckwads to keep anyone from getting hurt? Instead five cops rush in to beat his ass, and he tosses them around like rag dolls. Finally, why is it still legal for police departments to use vicious attack dogs to maul people and cause physical harm? Shouldn't being ripped to pieces by a dog be considered unconstitutional as "cruel and unusual punishment"?
The guy jumping out with the dog is the worst part. He doesn't even know what the situation is. Just jumps out and sics the dog on the dude.
So they can play the "good neighbor/bad neighbor" game when thet question you about your dog shitting in the street.
