I spent a week in Cancun last month. Had the time of my life. So one day I leave the resort and take a walk into the area where there are stores, banks, restaurants and gift shops. They even had a Hooter's out there. So I needed to get some pesos and went for a walk. Soon as I hit the zone, this guy approaches me..."Hey my friend! Americano! what you need? What you looking for? Marijuana? Cocaine? Ecstasy? Hey you!!" I stop and think. Hmmmm, cop some weed in Mexico?? This I gotta do. So I turn around and say to the guy.."Yeah, I think I do want something. Chill out, I gotta change some money." But I was unable to because I didn't have my passport with me. So then these cab drivers ask what I need and pull out a wad of pesos. I said fuck that I want the right rate. So I go find the weed guy. I though he was a cabdriver but we walk past the cab and cross the street. Right away I tell this guy I'm not going for no long walk. So we go to this club/restaurant. It was closed but he had juice and we just walked in. Its an open air place. Workers were sitting at the street side tables. So far so good. We go downstairs to the restrooms. I see other workers so it looks cool to me. Dude pulls out this bag with all kinda shit in it. Pulls out the weed package and says I got the Hydro..I got good Hydro! Here, smell it. Well I smell it and tell the guy..."Fuck is this shit!! This ain't no Hydro! I'm from fucking NEW YORK CITY!! That some shit you grew in your backyard. just cut the bullshit!" The guy is saying "Its Fifty...fifty!" But it sounds like he's saying $15. So I pull out $15 USD and he's like NO, FIFTY!! I say "Fuck that, gimme $15 worth! Open that fucking bag and just pinch me off $15 worth" So now he knows I'm no sucker. I had to take charge. It was weed. Just regular weed. I got that shit and just took off. But I was boppin' down the street, all happy! Feeling like I was in a Cheech & Chong movie. The weed was kinda nice for regs but I FUCKING COPPED WEED IN MEXICO!! WOOHOO!!
Great story but.......your employers don't drug test? I've never worked for anyone who didn't, so I honestly don't know. Don't get me wrong, it should be legalized and treated as alcohol. In other words, all employees across our great nation should be able to smoke it on their free time, just like they drink alcohol. Who knows, maybe when I retire (real retire not just military retire) I will partake. I can't lose my security clearance (job) you know. Fuck, I'll drive up to NYC and Mewa can show me what's up. Think I won't? I've driven from Georgia to NYC and back standing on my head. An actual kick-ass reason would be right up my alley! I retire in ten years - this will give me something to live for! I love setting goals for myself.
Live for No random testing where I work. The last drug test I took was more than 20 years ago. Now if they alcohol tested I would have failed the whole week after the trip. Unlimited food and drinks at the resort!!
Nobody alcohol checks, and that pisses me off! I would have to be to the legal limit on booze to get in trouble. And they would still employ me while I went to alcohol rehab. Fuck, my Tricare/VA benefits would cover it! The taxpayers would cover it! But the tiniest amount of weed and I would be fired on the spot with zero chance of getting my job back.
I always enjoy Cubanos when I'm in Mexico. I can get weed pretty much any time I want, but those cigars aren't so easy to come by. I tried Dominicans, but they don't wrap them as tight.
Gul, I agree. I could have brought some home easy. I actually never did cigars. But I would try one of those.
NPR had a special just today about how legalization is killing the economy of Mexico's mj growing regions because superior, indoor grown stuff from the US is now easily available and relatively cheap. Mexico's growers mostly grow low quality out door stuff which has a real hard time finding buyers in a competitive market. Even the drug cartels are hurting as mj smuggling made up 80% of their business.
Good! Isn't the whole idea of legalizing weed to put the drug cartels out of business? Sorry but I believe in "american exceptionalism." It's like gas/oil. Fuck the ME - can't we harvest our own oil? So fuck Mexico - can't we grow our own weed?
