More than that. Since @Tracker imagines that his God commands him to be hateful towards everyone else it gives him an excuse to ignore the rest of his list. Remember what he said when asked if his daughter came out as gay?
https://www.washingtonpost.com/nation/2019/08/08/jimmy-aldaoud-iraq-deported-diabetic-detroit/ For fuck sake. ICE is evil and needs to be disbanded immediately.
Tldr; they knew what they were doing well in advance and made a conscious decision to do it without preparing for what to do with 600 people's children, while the Trump donating supporter who hired them all gets off.
Well, now at least some camp workers are trying to kill Jews: https://www.buzzfeednews.com/articl...ard-never-again-action-drove-truck-jewish-ice Guy drives his truck right at a bunch of Jewish protesters outside an ICE-contracted detention facility, injuring several. Driver has been put on admin leave, but cops didn't even speak to him on the scene and he wasn't arrested (despite this being a clear case of attempted manslaughter/murder), instead they moved in and started pepper-spraying the crowd.
Trump administration to detain migrant families and children for far longer with new rule Source: https://www.cbsnews.com/news/flores...es-and-children-for-far-longer-with-new-rule/ The whole article is a bit longer, but worth the read. By making an end run around the Flores Agreement, the Trump Administration hopes to setup a new system where entire immigrant families would be detained indefinitely. Couple this with the recent announcement that children would not be receiving a flu vaccine while in custody, and adding the knowledge that illness is running rampant through these camps, there can be no question as to what we're seeing take full shape here. It must be stopped.
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/...er-lawsuit-period-tampon-latest-a9081341.html Paladin is bloody overjoyed.
If by overjoyed you mean spanking to the thought of dirty foreign girls in a cage, then we have a bingo.
Trump Administration wants to DNA test refugees and immigrants at the border This was mentioned back in May by CNN, and I'm surprised it didn't get more coverage: Source: https://www.cnn.com/2019/04/30/politics/homeland-security-dna-testing-immigration/index.html?utm_term=image&utm_content=2019-05-01T02:10:08&utm_medium=social&utm_source=twCNNp According to BuzzFeed (not a big fan, but they have sources), it looks like they're stepping up on that idea: Source: https://www.buzzfeednews.com/articl...sting-migrants-border-trump-homeland-security So let's see: * CBP/ICE being given broader powers to arrest and detain anyone who fits the basic description of an immigrant, refugee, or asylum seeker. American citizens have been caught up in these raids as well. * Asylum seekers, immigrants, and refugees imprisoned indefinitely in concentration camps for what would be a misdemeanor. * Conditions are grossly unsanitary and overcrowded. They're downright filthy, and those in the camps are denied basic necessities like soap and toothpaste. * Women and children sexually and physically abused with no pursuit of said crimes. * Men, women and children dying of preventable illness, with children being denied essential vaccines. * The Trump Administration is nullifying the Flores agreement to keep these people indefinitely. * People who are deported are being deported back to countries that were not their country of origin, and some have died as a result. * Legally permitted immigrants here due to severe medical crises given 30 day notices to leave the country, which will result in certain death for most of them. * DNA testing under the guise of "protecting children from human trafficking" (consider this while keeping previous points in mind). Doesn't anyone else feel this is truly horrifying? Surely not everyone has been in the boiling water so long that it feels like a nice jacuzzi instead? Doesn't this seem like some next level Nazi shit to anyone else?
Who cares about DNA testing? Personally I would have every last person in the U.S. DNA tested whether citizen or non citizen.
Exactly. It's such a violation of not only human rights, but just about every ethical principle the United States claims to uphold.
Is someone going to keep pretending they absolutely cannot afford toothbrushes for children, while they're paying for a DNA test for every last one?
It's not even a matter of affordability. The Trump administration outright stated they didn't think toothbrushes, soap, et al should be included in care for these people: Source: https://www.texastribune.org/2019/06/21/detained-migrant-children-no-toothbrush-no-soap/
https://www.politico.com/states/cal...akeover-bewilders-state-local-leaders-1181298 Concentration camps soon to swell from California homeless roundup?
"We cannot afford to politicize an issue which needs real thought and real commitment.” It's already political. Being homeless is political, not economical. It's not about a lack of resources, but a lack of access to resources created from an artificial supply and demand model exploited by the wealthy. As for Trump, fuck that asshole. He's going to fuck this up and get people killed, dammit, I just know it.
I thought a substantial portion of the homeless problem was due to mental illness and physical problems?
It is a direct result of Reagan slashing mental health care funding in the 1980s, causing the mentally ill to be put out in the streets because mental health clinics could no longer afford to take proper care of them. The same applies for the disabled who are homeless, many of them veterans. No. Other states give the homeless in their states one-way Greyhound vouchers and dump them in California.
