Sadly, it might cause a few more rules to be written. But when folks can't be trusted to follow the few rules that exist and act with "well, there ain't no rules agin it" then someone will force the rules to be written.
If it was a misspelling, odds are it was under Lisa's watch. She wasn't great when it came to spelling. As for making fun of TrekBBS, what is worse, overmoderation at times or ELEVEN fucking pages of drama on something that could have been ended with a few posts?
I think Lisa got tired of the shit and just said, "Fuck it." To be honest, I understand that at times. It takes work, interaction, luck, skill and people nagging your ass when you fuck up to keep from being that way and even then, sometimes one just wants to ban 'em anyhow and fuck it.
As a moderator, dealing with it would suck. As a human, the drama is over the top. You have to admit, it IS over the top. As a flawed person who is just a poster here, it's fascinating and entertaining reading. There ya go. Bonz, only slightly hypocritical.
No shit. I freely admit to being entertained. Note: This doesn't mean I approve of young girls being harassed by internet losers who couldn't get sex in a whorehouse with a pocketful of twenties. Too often, if you're female and not ugly, you're harassed online. Has to suck. I'm sure the lady in question will learn from this, either to back away, or to verbally kick the shit out of the next online clown who bothers her. But the rest of it, the squawking and ruffled feathers, is just priceless.
Carry on. As I said, Bonz the poster is vastly entertained. Or else I'd be off reading my new Henry VIII biography instead.
I can ignore the eleventy-five pages of Tex menstruation by not clicking on them. Overmoderation; not so much. I'll spoil the ending for you:
