Tasvir was "one of our own" the way a lung might consider a malignant tumor to be "one of it's own".

Will others be notified of warnings in this manner?

Perhaps he's insinuating you can flame away with no consequences because no one likes Tasvir. :garamet:

Honestly, I think this is a good thing from a broad perspective. The community we have should be everyone's community - even people like Tas and Polar who's major contributions were pissing other posters off. It really shouldn't be up to the moderators to ban people IMHO - but the community to deal with the situation. Moderators should be around to deal with technical issues and the blantant stuff, everyone else should do what they feel "works" for the community.

The only bad taste I have over this is that it took me and several of TPTB to organize the community; but let this be a lesson. If someone (even a moderator) is detrimental to the community as a whole, everyone has the ability to deal with that situation; not just a moderator with the BAN HIM button.

And, hopefully Tas will be back (and in my book, Polar as well) there really is a place for anyone here I think.

Well, there hasn't been anything but the mildest of trolling..nothing warning-worthy anyway.

But since there really isn't anything else policy-wise to say and the e-mail is there for anyone who needs it....any further discussion of this can be done in the Red Room threads discussing this very thing.
