Many wives put the clamp down on sex soon after being married. I've heard about and actually lived it.

What does a wife expect if she was a rabbit then turns into a nun?

Where is this bullshit coming from that all wives are perfect and that the man has absolutely no reason to stray?

And this of course works both ways.

    Case by case basis.

The wife probably doesn't have much to do with it if her husband is banging man-ass in a restroom somewhere, for instance.

Mrs A is dead on though...whether a wife contributes to the marital problems or not, it's still the cheater's fault they cheated.

Besides...why listen to a divorced woman's take on how to keep a man anyway??

My main point is that when a man is caught, the majority assume that he has this perfect wife and that he has no reason to stray.

Some people don't know what it is to be in a fucked up relationship. You can try and try. Then slowly you see your life being wasted. Couples are somewhat locked in. One can't just cut out and stay in a hotel for a few months. Its both their homes. Breaking up is a big thing.

Yes the cheater is at fault but I will lend sympathy for certain situations.

I can easily see a wife cheating on an abusive husband.

    I can't agree with you.

A wife with an abusive husband needs to see an divorce attorney, not Dr. Feelgood.

I can understand why she'd do it, but she's just making her situation worse: What do you think that the abusive spouse is going to do once he discovers her infidelity?

    Ask for counseling?

I get where you're coming from, Mewa, but I think that cheating just drags out the inevitable in most cases: If it's come to that point, the couple needs to separate, if not divorce.

You're talking text book and i'm talking reality.

Wouldn't that be nice if once a spouse feels like its over they just go see an attorney and have papers served. Nice and neat. No bullshit in between.

    Right.

I'm not saying that it's not expecting a lot. Thing is though, people drag out dead-end marriages far longer than they have to.

The bullshit is inevitable. I'm saying that someone needs to show some character and do things in the right order. If you're out looking for some strange, the marriage is in trouble, for one reason or another.

The bullshit could be minimalized if spouses so inclined got out of the relationship before counting ceiling tiles in rent-by-the-hour motels.

I hear you man but it just doesn't work out that way most of the time.

Shit, a husband could be hanging at a friends house shooting pool to get away from his wife. Seeing another woman is just the deal the wife hates the most.

many of us have had a friend that comes over cuz he doesn't want to go home.

I have a friend that is not to happy with his wife. They have three kids and a house. He can't just step off. Either one of them could be fooling around cuz it seems like the wife is not interested in sex with him so he's going without.

That's fucked up. Your wife becomes a roommate and you pay most of the bills. Sometimes an affair can help a person hold onto their sanity.

That's fucked, IMO. Grow some balls and tell your wife you are leaving her because it's worth it to you to throw away what you do have in order to get what you don't. Take some fucking responsibility for your decisions, ya know?

I get what you're saying, but Mrs. A's right. No one has to live like a nun if they don't want to, but the mature thing would be to work it out, if possible, or walk away from the situation and let your spouse be free.

    Meh.

I think most women can discount being called a whore when she knows she isn't one. Especially when a dingleberry is doing the shit-flinging.

I don't know who that was aimed at, but it takes a special kind of low-class, son-of-a-shitstain to pick on someone's health problems. :jayzus:

The difference between a bitch and a whore? A whore has sex with everyone. A bitch has sex with everyone but you.
