I saw a Hummer EV today. Remember when they were announced and we all laughed at them and thought how absurdly contrary to the idea of an EV they were? Compared to the Wankpanzer they look downright sensible.
The police car that is powering a lightbar, siren, computer, recording camera, communications equipment, and the cops cell phones is going to start chasing my car halfway through their shift? At least if the ICE cop car runs out of gas they have some battery time to use the radios and other devices before they are traveling in a giant rock. Not to mention, you have signed up with a poorly engineered fad car that runs on proprietary equipment and shitty software with gigantic holes in it. You cannot unlock or start these cars without a cell connection. Did the criminals chose this switch? Because this sounds like the criminals chose this.
Yeah, that's a great idea after the 15 was closed for almost two days thanks to a transport truck full of lithium batteries flipping over and catching fire. I'm pretty sure we're starting to figure out that EVs aren't the saving grace we thought they were.
A little historical context: at the same time that automobiles were becoming a thing, New York City was drowning in horseshit. The automobile helped solve an environmental crisis. Of course, over the next 100 years it created a new one. Dismissing EV's because they're not the "perfect" solution is missing the bigger picture. Two steps forward and one back is about as good as we're going to do.
Don’t forget that every so often a tanker truck will catch fire under an overpass and even though the fire can be put out quickly, the overpass will be closed for weeks or longer, while it’s repaired or replaced.
I would pop the hatch on that bitch, remove the processor, and bend every pin on there if I ever saw such a thing in someone's house.
I saw two of those four wheeled abortions on the roads near Newport Beach yesterday. They are just…just… I can’t even…
I finally saw the local mobile dumpster driving into the rich neighborhood it comes from. I was not surprised that it is where all the local entitled brats spawn from in their road speed golf carts and lifted pickups with the multicollored lights underneath that have never touched dirt. This is the neighborhood I drive by and fantasize The Purge: Tererune goes full demonspawn.
I saw someone post online, imagine having enough money to buy a Cybertruck…and using it to buy a Cybertruck.
From what I understand of the orthodox if you have a goyum operate it then you are fine. I do not know the full on rule, but the jews who followed whatever rule prohibits the use of technology at certain times could be circumvented by simply having someone else work it for you. It made for some interesting service calls by cable techs to jewish communities in NY when I worked there.
Basically, yeah. I'm not going to buy an EV anytime soon, because the tech isn't to where I'm comfortable with it yet, and the infrastructure isn't either. But I assume there was a time when a vehicle that had to be refueled at a gas station, instead of oxen that could just eat whatever grass they found along the way, seemed dubious. About five years ago, when my '05 Prius gave up the ghost, I went with an internal-combustion Corolla because I'd had a bunch of expensive problems with that second-generation Prius battery. But my next new car will probably be a hybrid again, because the tech has advanced a lot over the last 20 years. It's not hard to imagine full EVs (or FCV's like the Toyota Mirai, or anything else that has practicality issues now) being totally practical several years down the road.
The problem with hybrids ( you probably alreday know this) is that they potentially bring problems from both technologies. The progress with EVs was incremental, then blurringly fast and now has settled down again. It’s going to be interesting to see if we continue with incremental progress or if some sort of breakthrough kick starts the transition to full EVs
I was just reading an article that set my mind back decades on getting an EV. It talked about how quick battery charging only goes to 80% and then it trickles and takes multiple times the time to go from 80 percent to full at turbocharging stations. So the people who have to cap off all the time, or those who have to get to 100 percent do not leave the charging stations while they wait for their batteries to get up to full, and this is causing charging lines. At this point I realized that until such things are fixed I would never want to wait behind a anal EV owner, and especially would not want to wait behind a person who has bought a Tesla as they have got to be the most entitled and mentally fucked assholes over all. It is bad enough waiting on the occasional gas line while bubba fills up his obnoxious pickup and all the gas cans he can fit in the bed. It is annoying to wait at a cerowded gas station for a space while someone is inside getting things and cannot clear a space. I am not waiting an hour for some Tesla to trickle in power from, 99 to 100 percent because he is an anal little Musktard. Since you cannot fix people, I am staying with my corolla type ICE until they correct this charging thing. My little car will sneak in there while a big old car is trying to block pumps and be an asshole. I am not playing around with electric charging stations and the smug entitled brats that litter the EV world. I am not saying all EV people are that way as I feel sorry for some that adopted to be better, but I could not deal with waiting for a prick like that. I keep a machete in the car for safety, and that would be bad at a electric charging like while Tesla karen is holding people up.
Also, I am the type of person who gets anxious when I prepay a pump and it starts trickling in gas 80 cents before it is done. Especially in the morning rush when people are waiting behind me.
Seriously, there is always the same backup plan for rich NYers who can't get their car registration or license in NY. Get a floriduh residence and license. The Duh will license and register anything NY wont. If you can afford a CT you can buy a plot somewhere in floriduh. This is how the duh gained a monopoly on all the shittiest drivers from NY, NJ, MA, CT and the rest of the northeast. Fucking stupid CT owners should get some friends and ask the simple questions.
Tons of them on the UK roads - even in rural areas like my locale (mid-Wales). No Cybertrucks but lots of Model 3 and Model S. Surprised you haven't seen one, just look for anything with no radiator and a T logo on the front.
If you are looking for a cybertruck double check to make sure that dumpster you passed does not have wheels and some LED lights.
