This right here is what my experience to be. I once, accidentally, overheard my then girlfriend and several of her friends discussing their respective sex-lives at a party that for some unknown reason split up among gender lines. The girls were all upstairs in the kitchen, and the guys downstairs in the finished basement. The conversation I overheard was....enlightening to say the least. What got me the most, aside from my own sexual proclivities being aired out....was how damn clinical it all was. No hint of boasting at all. Just an in-depth, and very frank discussion. Was weird to say the least...
Hanging out with groups of female friends from time to time, that's pretty much a fact. Among male friends it's rare that any of us share details of our sex lives (at least not since we were high school aged) whereas the women are a lot more likely to throw it all out there. How much I share depends on the situation I'm in. Random hookups would get talked about with friends (most likely one particular female friend) whereas when I'm in a relationship or dating someone I won't talk about those sorts of things with other people.
Yeah women are a chatty bunch, chock full of energy after a good humping, whereas men tend to fall asleep.
