Unless you can show that there is an actual connection between the newspaper and the White House and the guys firing.

Until then the owners decided they didn't like this guy's headline and they canned him for it. No violation of the 1st Amendment there.

Eh. A newspaper is free to fire its employees and decide what editorial slant it will have.

For example up until the mid '90s or so "The Oregonian" had a conservative bent but it has moved farther and farther left and now it runs quite a bit of content from the NYT.

In other news "The Oregonian" fired about a quarter of its staff this summer and scrapped daily home delivery.
