This problem in Florida is indicative of the type of voter fraud that voter ID would not fix, or else indicative of Floridian incompetence (from what I've read, it's most likely an error). In-person voter fraud is pretty much an exaggerated problem (or at least an unproven systemic problem), only occurring a handful of times in the last decade..

Fuck 'em, the moron brigade has had this explained, debunked, kicked in the balls repeatedly, and their tack is "fuck facts, I'm gonna repeat the fucking lie cuz it's fun".

Fuck 'em, they don't deserve air.

I'd like to see 1) reporting from someplace that isn't a lunatic far-right propaganda outfit, 2) a proposed mechanism for how this could even happen, as they do check your name against voter rolls everywhere before they allow you to vote and count your vote, and (3) a consideration of why any individuals would wait on lines for 6 hours on Florida lines to vote when they know their fake vote won't end up getting counted because they're not registered before anyone takes this even a little seriously.

If there's any truth to this story at all then it's a matter of come combination of people going to the wrong voting place and casting provisional ballots after redistricting changed their voting locations and people whose voter registrations were thrown in the garbage rather than submitted for registration showing up to vote. But, of course, the story probably simply isn't true at all, and you know that.

You're a gullible fool if you believe there's anything to this story beyond townhall making shit up.

The first link was to the actual supervisor of elections of saint lucie county.Total registered: 175,554 Total ballots cast: 247,713 Registered turnout: 141.10%. The numbers don't lie. If you can read that data and still have no issue with this then I don't know what to tell you. The evidence of voter fraud seems pretty clear to me:shrug:

It's pretty clear that vote cards != ballots. Some precincts may have had 2 cards per ballot, especially if there are overlapping jurisdictions. After all, 52625+65896 < 175,554, as one would expect.

And fuck the no math in the Red Room rule. It's fucking stupid and makes anyone who invokes it remotely seriously look like a moron.

That actually makes the most sense. I was issued three voter cards in the mail because of a fuck up, but was only able to cast one ballot.

I hadn't thought of that possibility, but yeah, that makes a fair bit of sense. What doesn't make any sense at all, the story with no plausible mechanism or motivation to explain it, is a vote fraud story.

Republicans are chomping at the bit for voter fraud stories to support their voter ID crusade. Though in this case even if it were actual voter fraud, it wouldn't support their voter ID crusade because in-person voter fraud would not have produced these results, thus voter ID would have not prevented it.

Do you think if several of us cut and pasted this into every :beartm: "VOTER FRAUD NEED PHOTO I.D.!!!!!!" thread from now on, they'd go :sob: about something else?

    Nah, probably not.
