Sure life often treats us like a baby treats a diaper yet I'd like to think our mostly mundane existences have been punctuated by a bit of thrilling awesomeness. C'mon now, this is an easy one. Share a time of your life when all lights were green, everybody loved you, a time when you were healthy, wealthy and happy. When I was sixteen I could do wrong, I drove myself to the DMV on my birthday, got my license, moved out at eighteen and never looked back. I moved to San Clemente, a sleepy seaside town full of beautiful ladies and that was indeed an awesomeness!
A long suffering friend of mine just had a fortunate turn of fate. For the first time in a long while everything's going his way.
I'm actually doing very well right now, by my own standards at least. Nothing serious to complain about. Not that life is perfect, and if I wanted to complain, I'm sure I could find plenty to whine about and maybe even convince myself that life isn't good after all. But the honest truth is that everything is pretty good right now.
Love Dana Point, lived there for a while as well, and yeah there was plenty of awesomeness there too. And sometimes people offering to sell you crack. Which was not so awesome. Anyway, where did you eat?
Probably least glamorous place in two weeks but I had put away a massive breakfast in Hollywood and wasted time in Newport and Laguna, so just had a quick sandwich at a place on Ritz Carlton, next to the bakery. Even though it was cheap and easy sandwich takeaway, it actually came with its own awesomeness, was absolutley loaded with meat and importantly the girl behind the counter was very pretty and had some good banter!
Yeah tons of awesome incidents, I wouldn't exactly say I was 'on top of the world' at the time of any of them though.

I don't know, a few moments come to mind here and there: Getting married my kids' births some promotions or raises The '88 and '04 World Series A few vacations completing the Tough Mudder Generally I feel pretty good with my life, but the times of feeling really amazing come often enough that I probably wouldn't use the term "on top of the world," because that sounds like it should be very rare.

When I was 16, I thought I could pass the driver's license exam after almost no practice. So overconfident of this was I, that I planned a trip to Colorado to pick up my first vehicle immediately afterwards. Failed the test, had to drive back from Colorado in shame, with a learner's permit and a chaperone. That chaperone being my dad, who gave me endless amounts of shit about it the entire time.
All right...good memories that aren't tainted with regret, shame, despair, and humiliation.... -Buying Optimus Prime when I was 10. -Seeing Return Of The Jedi -Seeing Freddy vs. Jason -Seeing Avengers -Selling Harry Hembock. Nothing ruined those. ..that springs to mind.
