Time for an Operation Jericho redux. If our leaders had the balls for that. Which they don't. Ergo, candlelight vigil for Saeed Malekpour.
Not to be blaming the victim here... When you escape from a country run by an oppressive, tyrannical, murderous, insane, and intolerant regime DON'T EVER GO BACK!
You want specific names or should I give you posts, dates, and quotes from their arguments here at Wordforge as well? Or how well Iran stacks up when compared to the U.S.? Or how we've pushed them into being what they are? ^2
I'm not presenting this article as proof that Iran has acted like a barbarian religious dictatorship in the past. There have been plenty of other articles that have shown that already. This article shows that they are still one now. If you want to change the subject, or even start one of your own with some proof that they're not, go ahead.
Clearly you've mistaken Wordforge for DU. We here in WF are still waiting for you to follow up on this: Yes, we do.
Any thread that starts off with "All libruls believe such-and-such, and they've posted same on Wordforge but I'm too lazy to prove it" will have the same outcome. You want to do Ward a favor, tell him to stop Making Shit Up.
I would like to see posts on Wordforge about how Iran is all about democracy and justice for all, because if you can provide those, I will join you in pointing and laughing. But the most I can remember is the occasional foray into acting like the U.S. and Iran are morally equivalent (the whole "how can you object to them having nukes when your country has nukes too?" thing). Which is completely ridiculous, but still nothing like what you said.
I believe you are correct. However, there has been a fair amount of trying to equate the morality and human rights of Iran with the US and Israel. Neither of whom have ever executed a person for anything remotely like this kind of thing. If anything these kinds of things should prove the Iranian gov't is the shithole everyone says it is and that it is a menace to all.
