Prove what? That people on this board equate Iran with Israel and the US on a moral level? Look at any post on the topic by Rick the Retard.
According to Ward, his sarcastic statement clearly implies that he believes such a group exists. And to be fair there are a variety of opinions concerning Iran, some more favorable than others.
Bad move. Here's where you opened the door for the "broken record" call for links. Note for everyone - Asking for links is almost always an attempt to derail a thread. Odds are no links will ever satisfy those asking for them, instead you'll end up arguing about the validity of the links you provide. Of course this also means that if you're looking to derail a thread asking for links is a worthwhile strategy.
I'm not saying that Iran is a barbarian religious dictatorship, but it's a barbarian religious dictatorship.
Clyde's right in saying that the effort to derail is often successful. Look how successfully it was done in this case.
You should be glad it was derailed. Your implication that "liberals" on this board support the bloodthirsty bastards running that country was really stupid.
Then it's a suicide thread from the getgo. Still not seeing how it's derailed. It' just on a lousy spur.
Ah, the old "I said something stupid and got called out on it, so I'm going to cover my ass by saying I was just trolling" gambit. You're an idiot, Ward.
Some people confuse trying to avoid a war when possible and burying one's head in the sand and refuse to fight even when it's necessary. You're a prime example of the latter.
I just think Iran's a terrible country that executes people without due process of law and mistreats their citizens on a routine basis for religious reasons while pretending to be an advanced society. If they are advanced, it's only because they're in the top 20 percent of some of the worst societies in the world. My original post here is just one more example of it. I haven't brought up war or wanting war with Iran at all.
And that was a perfectly legitimate starting point for what could have been an interesting discussion.
