Yanno, the bassoon was the one instrument I was never interested in playing in band during high school It is cool that a talented bassoonist can get a full four octaves outta it.
One of my friends played the tuba in band when we were in high school. That instrument is WAY bigger than it looks, too, and it turns out some people are too short to play it, like me.
Dude, one kid found a piccolo in his tuba after playing it for a few weeks and noticing something shiny inside. Never knew that anyone could be too short for the tuba. A sousaphone maybe (that's the round marching tuba). You sure it wasn't that one?
