The TMZ article seems to be a bit off. Toilet paper was one of the things in abundance around jail. Sure, she will get her personal one roll issued to her, but no CO wants to look up a poop covered chute so there is a supply for the area which she will be able to get more from. They probably do not want too much around at one time with personal cells so the prisoners don't clog up the toilet because they are bored.

I still don't see her actually doing 14 days. That seems to be the normally excused time unless you are going to do some weekend thing. She may even have some of that time already served if she was arrested and spent any time in holding before her bail was set.

I think as a good punishment all guilty should have to have a three way with you and @Dayton Kitchens . It seems like a good punishment all around.

Evidently she is a champ at rowing boats on private yachts if you know what I mean. A purty mouth is a terrible thing to waste for the epstein crew team.

I hear what you are saying but one CBS media source headline (first link) says jail. Another CBS media source headline (second link) says prison.
Since FEDERAL prosecutors are involved even though it's just a 14 day sentence, it may indeed be a federal prison - unless the federal system does indeed have jail.

Oh please, as if you wouldn't cream your panties if it had been Kathy Griffith or some other blatantly anti-Trump celebrity that should "stick to entertaining or playing ball" who'd gotten sent to the slammer. Spare me. :sroll:

Yeah, that's what I figured as well, which is why I wondered why they even bothered. To scare the other nimrods? No one expects them to see prison either.

#1 Yes the Feds have their own jails which are separate from prisons. Epstein just died in one a few weeks ago.

#2 The media is lazy. They use the words jail and prison without considering there are differences between the two.

#3 It would be a tremendous waste of money and time to send her to a Federal prison when she could just do the 14 days in the Federal jail or if the Feds have a deal with a local county then in the local county jail. If there was a Federal facility close enough she might get sent to that.

i would say zombie knows best regarding processing for federal prison. I would not really bother with the news as they simply use one or the other for impact rather than for accuracy. To most people jail and prison are the same thing. I don't know if federal prisoners are mixed with state jails, but for this amount of time processing would be where she stays. They probably would not even classify her as minimum security or give her a job. Like I say they might just knock her sentence completely out and send her home. The corrections system has more to say about you getting out than the judge.

I know I'm nitpicking here but in Goodfellas I FUCKING HATE when Henry Hill is about to start a prison sentence of a couple of years and swallows the pills then says "okay now take me to jail!" :brood:
Dude you were already in jail! Then you were found guilt at a trial or hearing, and sentenced to prison!

Not necessarily. Most Federal sentences begin on a specific date, not immediately following the trial. Unless bail is revoked for some reason they remain free until that date.

Felicity Huffman is not currently incarcerated.

exactly - Henry Hill was about to start his prison sentence after his brief free time between jail and having to report to prison. Thus he would have said "take me to prison" not "take me to jail."
Just something that grinds my gears about that movie, along with this:
The main characters of Goodfellas go to Joe Pesci's house after killing Billy Banks and burying his body. It's very late at night and they are in the kitchen and Joe Pesci's mom says "have you seen my new painting?" and the painting is right there on the kitchen floor leaning against a wall or chair or something. :dayton: Of course the painting relates in a humorous way to the man they just killed, so yes I get that it's a plot device but still...that is some weak/lazy writing right there.

Now that is some serious bullshit . Each states have different sets of rules and consequences. If she lived in Florida she would have never been charged because that practice is perfectly legal here. But even still, she is a mother trying to get her child a better education. She shouldnt be serving time with hardened criminals.

No she should be serving time, along with everyone else involved in the process. Bottom line there are consequences when we break laws. The defense of "a parent helping their child" doesn't cut it, and is a slippery slope. An obviously simplified example would be: if I can't afford crutches for my crippled kid, should I just break into the house of my neighbor and steal the crutches of their crippled kid?
Sorry but we need to stop separating white collar crime from blue collar crime. It's one of the many things wrong with the justice circus.

Finding and exploiting a loophole in the system is expected and legal. That's how people overcome challenges. But deliberately and overtly breaking the law in overcoming your challenges is wrong and we all know it.

Hey, you have two good kidneys and only need one, I guess according to @Dayton Kitchens if his daughter needs a kidney it is ok to take one of yours.

Just because we can understand the motives to a crime does not mean the crime is not a crime mr. three toed sloth.

exactly! Yes motives and circumstances do matter when it comes to sentencing, but a crime is a crime. You might get the minimum, you might get the maximum but having a noble cause doesn't excuse the crime especially if it was a planned out & premeditated crime.

Lori Loughlin and her husband must be shitting themselves right now, as they could be facing 40 years in prison.

"Um, is it too late to, maybe, talk about a plea bargain?"

I expect that, even if they do plea out now, they'll be looking at significantly longer time inside than Huffman. Perhaps years still.

Well the bullshit charge and 5 year sentence for the education thing was wrong but she's serving 5 years for drug dealing. The sentence for both is running concurrently.

(Edit: She was already on probation for earlier charges when she got busted for the school thing. Breaking the law while on probation usually kicks in the sentence from the previous conviction. It's why I know a lot of inmates that rather just do the time and not have any probation.)

She even put her kids birthday party on hold so she could sell drugs to undercover officers.

The media likes to gloss over the drug dealing before, during, and even after she was charged with the school thing.

I have no problem with parents wanting to get their kids into better schools. The whole system is fucked up.

    Also the crimes are different.

The crimes Loughlin is facing are far more serious than what Huffman was charged with.
