First Annual Forgie Awards Gala Event!

This is it, ladies and gentlemen! The polls close in about 12 hours. Some of the polls have obvious winners and I might begin announcing later tonight!

There are still some near-ties, for example in Best Signature and Best Drama/Feud. I need more people to vote on those.

I've made some mistakes along the way. I forgot O2C when he nominated himself (I am so sorry!! ) but I couldn't delay the gala event any longer.

So here we are, just a few hours away from the red carpet! Actually... you tell me what color you want the carpet to be! PM me with ideas. This very thread will announce all the winners!

The very prime (or grime) of Wordforge itself will be announced in all of his or her internetly glory!!

First, the thank-yous! Because every awards ceremony has them!

First of all, thank you Tex for this wonderful idea and for letting me go crazy with it!
Next, thank you Mods and Admins for creating the subforum, locking threads, and dealing with crazy lil' TKO's crazy demands!
I'd also like to thank Order 2 Chaos for being very forgiving, and Foil1212 for ranting (because he is NOT a newbie) but being good at ranting, and not ranting to annoy me. That's a special kind of ranting right there!

And thank you everyone because you're all special and wonderful and great and all the compliments in the world because that's what award ceremonies do! These Forgies (honestly!) wouldn't be possible without ya!! I love the Forge and all of you are great! Fuck you Zodiac!


Alright, let's have some fun with this!

Tonight, January 27th, 2007, is the night of nights for all our nominees. Coming from all over the world, they gather around and line up to walk on the RED SHAG CARPET!



They're all awaiting the final results that they could check if they would just go to each poll... but what's the fun in that?

Dan Leach is taking pictures of each nominee: Diacanu is walking in, thinking up quick phrases to say that will leave the crowd in stitches! Meka is handing out cookies, and the crowd goes wild! We see Mrs. A in a sexy red dress, escorted by an unusually not-ranting UA and a very sexy Shakes! Ted walks in with a burning Radio Shack flag and a T-shirt that says "I LOVE 4-WAY INTERSECTIONS AND TRAFFIC LIGHTS, SO SHUT UP!" Lt. Mewa is being flocked by fat ladies who want to sit on him! and Asyncritus is eloquently making his way across the red carpet, if that makes any sense! Lethesoda lurks in the background... and Thelurker walks on down in a colourful, glamourous dress. She brings good, motherly advice... and drinks from the best pubs in Britain!

The nominees in the Worst Poster category walk in, some spreading flames, others swearing that they're not the worst poster, others wanting to win! We see Tasvir trying to rape mothers as he walks across the carpet, but what's this? It's Jenna, a prominent nominee for Rookie of the Year, and she's fighting Tasvir to the ground!!
Ladies and gentlemen, he's down in 5 seconds! It's a new WF record!

Our next event was dominated by one person, and one person only. Uncle Albert tried to win, but that was in vain. Sokar tried his best, he really did, but no matter what he said, or how often he flamed liberals, he simply did not make it.
