I'd be really suprised if Wicca pre-dates Christmas.

Wicca is just an educated guess and an attempt to revive pre-Christian religious beliefs but you're right that in it's current form it is probably just a mash up. We don't really know as the early church spent a huge amount of energy and time destroying pagan religious groups and burning the followers at the stake.

I hate to admit this, but I didn't know Sleipnir was Odin's horse -- I just knew it as the name of one of the space horses in an old Timothy Zahn novel.
