As for the tech-speak, just put a glossary at the back of the book. But if your story is aimed at that crowd, it's a given they know what you mean.

As for the reference to the cash - it's not a bad thing that my conclusion was wrong. You can even play with that by leading people to believe they know what's going on, then prove them wrong without giving away what the hell is going on. I think that would enhance the mystery.
