I been hearing that ft hood is a bad place to be. Could it be they are just fucking with people until they push them "over the hump" and they lose it. Perhaps they should have let the boy go on leave and get away from it all for a while. The worst part about the military is that people can just fuck with you because they can. There are a couple of people that I would hurt if I ever see them again. No bars or stripes to protect them now.

Ummm......you do realize you can be jailed or sued for assault, right? And there is a 50-50 chance you would end up getting hurt trying to hurt them. You can't let people trying to push your buttons get to you.

It doesn't matter. Some things just get pushed too far when there is no justification for it. That makes it personal.

In the 70s when there was a huge drug and discipline problem in the Army, officers and NCOs were allowed to wear a side arm in garrison. It had a positive effect at the time.

Except these days the biggest criminals are the officers and NCO's. Juniors enlisted still commit the most petty infractions because of their sheer numbers and "young, dumb and full of come" mindset, but the organized crime and serial immorality is generally NCO's and officers.

I can certainly understand where EP is coming from. If my last chief were to come up missing, I'd rent out a yatch and throw a party for evrryone from Uss Last Command.

There was an NCO in tech school that I must have wronged in another life. That bastard wrote me up for room inspection every week. I did everything I could but realized that was how it was going to be. The only weekends I got off in 9 months was the 3 that he was on leave. I passed inspection with no problems when he was gone. I never got to leave the base during basic because it snowed and from there we went to tech school. So, in 11 and a half months from leaving home, I got to go off base 4 times. At some point it starts to seem like a prison. I learned electronics and have some fond memories of some people I went through the classes with, but nobody signs up for that kind of pointless shit.
