Forum Update and Reorg

Rename all the forums RamenForge 1, RamenForge 2, RamenForge 3, etc. and be done with it.

Rules for each RamenForge will be sticked appropriately. Discussing anything in RamenForge 1 that should belong in RamenForge 2 will result in an immediate permaban.

How about some special thread icons? At the moment they have no real purpose, so hardly anyone uses them, but what if we cut out the no purpose ones and added a Movie Reel, Game Controller, Camp Fire, Barbell, and a few other good descriptors?

What you see as a problem management and many of us are just fine with.

Why don't we make subforums? We could clean up the front page but still allow for the separation of some topics like guns or video games.

Facilitate discussion? Get annoying is more like it. It's WELL past time to drop the topic and let Lanz eventually get to it.

Because the whole point of his argument is less separation means more apparent traffic and more discussion.

There may be some merit to the thought that the separations are unnecessary while the community is relatively small.

There are things we could do to make certain topics easier to find. Like using and making new post icons. Make a video game thread in Media Central and mark it with a video game icon so people into that can find them easily, for example.

One thread to cover all of the different games out there? That would turn into the most convoluted run of shit yet on WF.

I think the forums are just fine and well defined the way they are. If anyone thinks that a forum is not seeing enough traffic, then start some interesting threads in them and liven them up.
