I've been using SmartFTP for some time, but I'm not a big fan, can anyone give me a recommendation for a free and very functional FTP program?

Core FTP lite. It keeps telling you its unregistered and a trial version, but the only penalty is a 3 second wait on startup

Make sure you get the free lite version

That's what I was thinking. It's free but not very pretty though.

I'd stay away from 3 Beta. It's got a hell of a long ways to go before it's at where it needs to be.

I still like WS_FTP the best. And since you're going to college, you can get the educational version for free.

WS_FTP is the most stable FTP client I've used. Not the most versatile, but I've never, ever had any problem with it.
