    You're getting scammed. I've never had to pay for a pair, even at the cheap theatre.

    AMC-so a big screened big chain.

    They're the plastic rimmed things, so it didn't feel like too much of a burn for a one time cost. Less than cheap sunglasses-albeit, not as useful.

    This. I don't get why someone would feel compelled to buy a new pair of glasses every time they saw a 3D movie.

    Where is everybody getting that the glasses are a seperate purchase? If I recall correctly, it was included in the ticket price the last time I went to a 3D movie.

    It wouldn't matter here. The cost is added onto the ticket.
