It's a sequel to the original movies, not a reboot. https://ew.com/movies/2019/01/15/new-ghostbusters-movie-jason-reitman/amp/
I was sort of hoping for the all female cast to do a second movie where angry fanboys ressurect an incel from a painting at an old confederate museum and angry orange trump slime floods NYC until the spirit of 9/11 unites everyone in harmony, except for those Muslims, and everyone sings shake it off while the girls zap kid rock back into the painting and save the universe.
New news already! The next-generation characters will be a mixed gender team of teenagers. Two boys, two girls. It'll be a pass-the-torch type thing. https://ghostbustersnews.com/2019/0...ed-to-feature-mixed-gender-team-of-teenagers/
Trivia tidbit- Jason Reitman was the little boy at the beginning of Ghostbusters 2 that says to Ray "my dad says you guys are full of crap". Talk about coming full circle.
The original Ghostbusters are coming back? I'm so excited for this! ...is what I would be saying if this were 1995. Ah, well. Serve it up and let's see how it works.
Incorrect. The comics have continued the GB:ATC-verse, and I've kept up on them, and talked about them on my blog. Just cuz I don't report to you...
If you want news that overlaps the 2020 movie and the 2016 movie, there's this. https://ghostbustersnews.com/2019/0...hostbusters-film-is-something-trump-would-do/
Pretty much. Even five years ago this would have been an exciting idea, getting to see some of the old guys and gear one last time. A nice nostalgia trip. Coming after the reboot though it just comes off as cynical.
Nope. The 2016 movie had him as a bust at the college, and his son, daughter, and baby grandson had cameos. No idea what they're gonna do this time, but I think Ivan Reitman said they're not gonna CG Harold.
