That is the thing about the glory hole. Normally there is no right or left. It is just a fucking hole. It is one of the many reasons they are glorious. The only real preference a glory hole has is male.
Is it common in your area that people with the money to have boats and snowmobiles wouldn't have the space on their own property for them?
If one lives right on the water, most likely. Further inland, you have to store it. If you’re wealthy enough and sign up soon enough, you can get a spot right there on (in?)the harbor. However, having grown up in tourist destinations, many people own boats even if they aren’t even marginally wealthy - heck, I’d go so far as to say that if you can afford a car, you can afford a boat. So, unless you have a large yard with your own external storage large enough for a boat, you have to store it somewhere. If Volpone can find renters for boat storage, I’m guessing his local business reputation is as bad as it is here.
Self storage facilities are big business in the US because a lot of us have so much stuff that we can't keep it all at home. One of the reasons I decided not to buy a camper a few years ago is because I don't have a place to conveniently park one and I couldn't justify paying a monthly fee to keep it at a storage facility.
