This one's particular fun, because Akin's stupidity has a whole slew of Republican nabobs saying he should drop out of the race.

Remember the whole thing with Obama and 'You didn't build that'? It's a situation where someone either used the wrong words, or put them in the wrong order, or in some other way failed to clearly speak their thought.


This is of course different from when someone is an ignorant moron, clearly speaks their ignorant moronic thought, and then later is forced to run away from it.

And just to be clear, some of us are suggesting that Akin's statements about legitimate rape and auto-abortion are examples of the latter definition.

Todd Akin actually made Live Science. They are officially stating that rape sperm is exactly the same as all other. What is amazing, is that a Scientific publication had to waste time on such idiocy. Our Congress is beginning to resemble Ireland circa 1968. Practically their whole parliament was in jail for some violent crimes. Our Congress appears to be inmates from bedlam. We're in a shit load of trouble if time has to be wasted to debate the ridiculous.
