I'm in, too. Unless, of course, you decide to just soak of the labels of a nice bottle of red and stick on your own...
Nice label or not, Zenow, you'll know the source. It's the one wine that won't require a label. [edit]Now, on the other hand, if they manage something the quality of ripple blanc, then put a two buck chuck label on there, we'll be impressed by their achievement.[/edit]
I particularly love two types of red wine and this is one of them. You definitely have to make wine with them. Anything else would just be a waste.
Have you tried different types? I don't really like whites, but reds There is a wine out there for everyone.
I was just about to say that I'll be your first customer if when you're ready to sell. I see you planted on a hill. Owning a vineyard is a dream of mine. Michigan is surprisingly great location for it, and the area around Traverse City has exploded with new and winning wineries.
I'm usually not a fan of wine. Most of it tastes like rubbing alcohol mixed with grape juice, but there is a local vineyard and winery up the road a ways that makes the best muscidine wine. I could drink multiple bottles if I didn't watch it.
What are the aging techniques you are going to use? glass, barrel, old barrel, new wood, 1 year, 5 years, etc...

To whom it may concern: I'm not really thinking about that yet. For the first little while I will be selling my grapes to others, commercially. If anyone would like to know who will be buying my grapes so they can get the wine I would be happy to let you know, but that won't be for a few years. The grapes won't produce for three years. I will make wine with the older grapes I have in my garden, but I'm not really thinking about the aging and so forth, it is something that I am taking one step at a time. I will do plenty of testing.
An update: We planted on Sunday 4/15/2007. It was the perfect day for it. We had a warm non-windy day.
You ever had Grappa? It's distilled grape skins. Some braniac figured the grape skins were going to waste, I guess. It's about 30 percent alcohol. I don't even know if they sell it in America.
Frickin' cow farmers and their hormones are gonna get me incarcerated one day. Sixteen year olds sure as hell didn't look like that when I was sixteen.
Whenever I see a Farmer Flow thread, Mrs. or otherwise, I can't help but remember a Married... with Children episode where Al is recommend to start a garden in order to calm his nerves... Pretty neat. Keep us updated, Female Flow.
